I really like the way Kurapika’s kindness is framed in this arc. He’s gentle and empathetic, but also quite judgey and self-righteous. It makes him feel so damn real, especially when he realizes he himself hasn’t lived up to the high standards he has set for people. For example, apologizing and feeling embarrassed for his rude behaviour towards Leorio in episode 1. A very balanced character that I was pleasantly surprised by, and has remained a solid favourite.

Man, getting goosebumps this early in the show is a good sign, a very good sign :) This is gonna be an awesome journey

Btw, if kurapika and leorio got in the way of the fight, gon would’ve been the one disqualified.

Second this. It has been a while since the update that said a double drop of 2x20 and 21 and unless I missed another update we haven’t heard anything else since only 2x20 dropped last week. No pressure to get it out! but just a lil update to say where vinland saga is right now would be great

I'm surprised you haven't made the discussions in a podcast format yet. Or rather I use them in the same sense of a podcast ocassionally. Sometimes I watch the reaction at work and drive home listening to the discussion.

Definitely like how Gon's fight was handled and how he gets an ultimately unsavory victory yet again. Great talk on his character. Got quite a bit from Killua this ep, the first time we got into his head I think.

This episode makes me laugh every time! I loved Gon and Honzo's interaction.

Togashi Just changed what Japanese people knew about shonen battle manga. He did it in the past episode as well. As you already said, when you think about tournaments, it reminds you about Dragonball, yup... there are so many there cuz Japanese people (the main target of mangas) love it way too much. What togashi did here is phenomenal, and the next episode just elevates everything I said... I'll write the rest in the next episode to not put any spoiler here
