0.40 Beta Test Q&A (Patreon)

I have been reading the comments and emails and feel it's my responsibility to address some frequently asked questions and shed more light on the progress.

Q: Why prolong the test cycle from March/April to June?

A: One developer in our team works for Mihoyo, and the recent leakage incidents of Genshin Impact have severely impacted his working schedule. This also prompted us the importance of proper penetration testing to ensure better user info protection and development environment safety. We hold your privacy dearly and a security breach will be devastating, that's why we are not taking the beta test lightly before well prepared.

Q: Do I have to play with another player in a group scene?

A: No, as I have explained in an earlier post. You have the full control over how to set the scene up in the map just like in the classic mode, and you may decide every actor's action in your scene. You will see other player's scenes and there'll be synergies if two scenes are played adjacently (such as the girls holding hands to combine two scenes into a foursome), but ultimately one player does not interfere with another directly. Giving likes, learning a pose and hiding another player is pretty much all you can do to each other. Imagine the Gathering Hub in Monster Hunter World, but more lewd.

Q: What if I want to play as a female character?

A: Dr.Anya has the weirdest assortment of assistants...you may even play as a futanari. If you would like to choose a female character (including the heroines) as your avatar for the free roam (yes, you can just walk around the map and take in the scenery without directly engaging in sexual intercourse. The image I attached in this post is the second floor of Archimedes Orbital Station, there's an elevator in the middle which you may take to visit other floors.) you are free to do so, and we also provide the cult sisters of the Church to select from if you feel like to play as a female (or a futa).

Q: (A question asked in comments of this post) Will you continue to give us costume packs until the beta launches?

A: Yes, I personally hate to receive financial support and can't give rewards of equal value. That's also why we are converting your history pledges into in-game currencies when the harem mode goes live.

Q: Why not continue making intermediary updates? The outfit bundles are not something I can play right now.

A: I totally understand. As it stands, the major overhaul to the sex mechanism means that any work we do based on the current framework will be in vain when 2.0 drops. The reason we announced that there will be only four intermediary updates (0.31-0.34) is that we planned to finish the new framework during that time and the progress is indeed adhering to the schedule. It's already pretty exhausting to build the new system with our limited manpower and separating resources on a soon to be expired antique may inevitably put off the arriving of 2.0, causing even more effort wasted on the old framework since more intermediary builds are needed as the wait drags on. It's undoubtedly a painful decision to make.

Q: Don't keep us in dark. Any other stuff you have been brewing in secrecy?

A: I intended to keep those for future dev diaries but since you want total transparency here are some keywords:

Complete overhaul of all 120 existing sex scenes and 30 new sex scenes (Basically finished as I am writing)

Dynamic voice with dependencies on the girl's mood, pose, sex partner, etc

Ability to place the scene anywhere instead of at fixed locations

Church of Starry Wisdom Cult Sisters

Auto hiding the objects that block the sightline

Dynamic body fluids

Galatea and three new monsters

The list may grow longer, but it's beneficial to both me and you that I keep some small surprises :3

Q: (A question asked in comments of this post) Ultimately what are the plans for the original concepted material such as Erotes Nightclub?

A: Darn it, that's part of what I meant by the "small surprise". 😂Yes Erotes nightclub is coming back, expanded and renovated, as a selectable map.
