We have initiated closed alpha test on Steam this week. To put it shortly, shit happened but we managed to pull it through.

Captured during Operation Lovecraft: Fallen Doll's dev only pre-alpha test. A preview of the upcoming harem mode.

The sex scene names still need revision and this video does not cover the full scope of harem mode (character affinity, sexual skills, avatar interaction and animation emoji are yet to be integrated into the steam version).

The monthly poll and costume pack will drop in a couple of hours, along with some extra perks. (It's a miracle we made it on the last day of July...)

你们没发现么？场景这么安静，只有脚步声、女性呻吟和性交的声音。加上冷色调的室内环境，游戏氛围有些诡异。对，就是诡异。场景里，随处可见性交的男女，给人一种邪乎的感觉。缺BGM，缺语音。另外给可以创造性交的地点一个类似光柱的标识或许更好。感觉还是氛围不对，这是邪教巢穴么？还有场景里的互动物品，比如可以坐下的座椅之类的。还有语音，建议出淫语，还有玩家控制的角色注视到正在性交的场景，能够自动触发语音评价。还有更换衣服的更衣房，关怪兽的牢笼等等。

Would this have been possible with AI? Or perhaps the ability to just place multiple characters all around and just have the on a loop. As much as I enjoy the technical accomplishment of a swingers mode, knowing that someone else controls the other stuff does not float the boat. I mean the pacing just won't be the same. How will you deal with trolls, online experiences are notoriously difficult to manage.

There is nothing extraordinary about developing this that could in any way prevent the developer from openly sharing his progress, goals and timeline. This is just like any other Software development project. His secrecy is not justified in any way

I agree with what Relic is saying (to a point) but Chris has a point too, one adult game that is still in development is Wild Life headed by the studio Adeptus Steve that game I would say is on the highest level in terms quality and the studio paying respect to their patreons with regular updates and frequent communication as well as keeping to scheduled game update releases Project Helius has been all over the place with announcements, delays and playable releases.

I've been following his discord for months. There is a tiny bit more information there. But nothing big. Just screenshots, drawings and excuses. He even copy-pastes stuff from his discord here. He's very vague about the problems and challenges he faces. He doesn't post about the development at all, besides of some pictures and hints. Nothing in detail. He only interacts with the community through surveys like once a month. And delays important stuff to the first of the month.

I just find it odd that we've gone from closed Beta July/August, to closed pre-Alpha in July/August. A bit of clarity would be appreciated, I'm impressed with what I've seen, but if something isn't going to be ready for months I'd rather that was openly stated then people aren't coming to their own conclusions and arguing about it. There's enough of that going on with Subverse, don't really want it here.

You have 20,264 Patrons, let's say in AVRAGE they pay $25 monthly (obviously there are a lot of people plying less and a few that pay more, I think is a fair average). That means you guys are getting $506, 600 a month, A MONTH! PEOPLE! The development cost of GTA5 was $265 million in total; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was $250 million; Destiny was $140 million! You guys are making an unbelievable amount of money, millions! I don't think people even understand how much money we are talking about here. And for all of that, this is what you have to show? There are many indie game makers, that are developing many more features for their games with the fraction of the money he is getting. We don't even know the full feature list or what he is actually working on. We don't know what will be coming, we don't know when don't know when the beta will be. Just broken promises and an online multiplayer mode nobody asked for. No transparency about what he spent time and money on. Almost no community Interaction. We do, but hey. They have told us litterally every single reason for the delays. 1. Hold ups from steams side due to the heatwave there. 2. Steams demand to get the VR-version aswell which wasen't stated by steam earlier. That again caused delays. 3. Finally some extra hold ups due to - what I can assume - were problems with certain creatures being to similar to real life animals. Which again: They stated here and on their discord server. Seriously why can't people READ? No one is forcing any of you to support this project. But for the love of it, just read befor crying around or even better don't cry at all.

To even come close to the same budget as GTA 5, Helius would have needed to make over 7 million dollars a month over the course of three years. The budget they are working with and what heavy hitter studios like Rockstar deal with aren't remotely in the same league. (Edit: this project has been going for roughly 5 years, so they would have needed over 4 million dollars each of their active months.)

you probably shouldn't do math on the napkin and get a calculator because you clearly did it wrong. If you want to compare this game to GTA5 then lets do it: GTA5 cost 265,000,000. That is over 500 months(41 Years) worth of development with what dev is currently getting from Patreon with your logic. and if you comparing that, you should not be complaining until 41 years later. You are expecting production speed from a indie group to match 3A game companies and I can confidently tell you it's not going to happen. I work with programmers before and knows some of their struggles, I appreciated their hard work, and I understand delays can happen to any type of development, be reasonable with devs. Patreon support is a Journey with devs, not a market. They have started from nothing but a concept, to a small team, to mocap, to what we have today and eventually one day bring us a game.you don't get a complete game straight away from here. You want a game right a way and jerk off right now, you can go to steam or dlsite and buy it off that. There are so many devs have stopped developing BECAUSE lack of support, and the game never get to finish, our dev can not get traditional funding like GTA5 and any of the games you named due to the sensitive contents, and we want to put our own fetishes in the game and making the final game into something we like and suits our taste, not some random capitalists corps trying to invest and expecting a good sales.

Im seeing a lot of complaints here about the lack of content and updates from the creators. I dont know if Im missing something but every couple of days ,2 to 3, there is an update/announcement on their discord. Yes I understand that there have been delays in a new version but this is in part due to outside factors. For those who want a new version with what they have NOW will most likely receive a potentially buggy or low content release. Developing a game is not as simple as telling a computer what you want and hoping it figures out what you mean. Lets not forget the point that this isnt just an adult game there is actual story and game play being developed, most likely happening at the same time, that revolves around completely different systems. Dont even get me started on the complexity of modeling clothing and making sure it works with different positions and environments. Next is the the ridiculous comment about the Dev team getting $500K+ a month from patreon subscriptions. First $25 average is very high amount to be considered the average, most patreons are probably paying $5 a month so I would say the average is about 8-10 a month thats about $200K+ a month of witch patreon takes a percentage fee as well as possible taxes they have to pay. The dev team has equipment/operational costs/rent to take into account split across the team. I dont get why some people think patreon is pure profit and if it is unacceptable to pay monthly to help *SUPPORT* a project you would like to see come to completion then you must make the decision to continue to contribute or not. I for one hope that the dev team are not put off by bitter comments and wish them the best of luck in creating something that can be enjoyed by all who wish to see the project succeed.

Like are all the other scenes going on other players playing the game? This is my last month i support it, 6 month with no new scenes. If im right making scene with 2 completed textured model ( current scenes are very simple its just timline animation with little user position change) should take about 4 hours , so one emploee should create at least 2 at day. Skilled 3d modeler get 10K /month so still at least 190K for developer and it have happy supporter. I would have had resigned in july but i have my free time.

overall i agree, if there is no new build this months im also done here , enough is enough. but i think u forgot a few things in ur calculation. im pretty sure there a few more employes than just a single 3d modeler and they have more costs like renting office buying hardware and software and so on.

i think they should just put all that steam and online mode stuff aside for a moment , put the new animations/outfits/characters into the classic gallery mode to finaly drop a new build. then all are happy and busy and the massive amounts of complains will stop , then they have plenty of time to keep working on the steam version

To get this straight. People who are complaining, who is keeping you here. If you've already donated enough for the steam kay($36), then cancel your subscription and forget about this game until the steam game comes out. You don't have to be here to just complain. If you "Love" this game then hopefully that'll be enough for you to not completely tarnish it because it's late. The whole argument is that "You're not getting your money's worth". If you're not then take it somewhere else. If you're not then you're just paying for the right to comment.

1st off thank you so much for all of your hard work. I'm a game and software developer by trade so I understand the insane amount of work you're showing off. I'm a little confused though. When are keys going out for the alpha? Should I have gotten a key? Might be good to clarify in the description rough ETAs of these sorta things.

there wont be keys for the alpha, keys are planned for the beta that was announced to be released in june but we are still waiting. we dont even know why there is a alpha all of a sudden after they announced the beta comes out in a few days. they only give very vague informations about the development progress.

Don't be a chump. We aren't donating to charity. We are customers, and investors. The least we can do is complain when we don't get what was promised. The game will only be $20. Most of us could have stopped supporting this many months ago and still got the full game. So all we get is a few costumes in the future. If we were told honestly, the game won't be out until September or later, do you think we would have been paying all this time, when all we get is a few costumes? I started supporting this when they announced Galatea. Been waiting on a playable build all year. :(
