Harvey isn’t John’s subconscious, he’s Scorpius…if he was immersed in John’s subconscious. but they did a really great job of making us feel for Scorpius this ep, didn’t they? it’s one I only recently came around on, tbh, because of the back and forth. on one hand having the two crews gives us the chance to explore characters we don’t know much about. on the other, it really breaks up the momentum of the season in a way I don’t love. that said, s3 still has some of my fave eps of the series. hell yeah farscape discord shout out!!! 🤯🫠🥹 also Scorpius/Bracca may or may not be a fairly significant fanfic category, canon or otherwise.

I LOVE this episode. I already loved Scorpius but this episode really made me LOVE him even more. This was where I stopped seeing him as just a great villain/antagonist, but more of an anti-villain. He may do a lot of awful, terrible things, but it’s all rooted in trauma, pain, and torture. He truly believes he is doing the right thing by stopping at nothing to find a way to defeat the Scarrens. That’s not in any way an excuse for what he does, but it adds so much more depth to him and allows us to understand why feels the need to implement such extreme measures.

There's a strange symmetry I noticed with the Sebaceans and the Scarrans, both sides are racing to get that wormhole trophy, but they've both taken part in the grievous suffering of others to attain that goal. The Scarrans were taking Sebacean women and forcing pregnancies to see if something Superior could be made. Just like the Peacekeepers were imprisoning Leviathans and forcing them to birth gunships, and both sides have said the same thing that most attempts failed, except for one. Insane.

Backstory for Scorpy! So enjoyable. Farscape is my #1 recommendation to Blind Wave but, yeah, polls are a popularity contest and Farscape is not as well-known as it should be. I keep pulling for that. Peacock's subs were incorrect in a few places. You know, I never think about how this episode gave us a THIRD John for this season and he was just as great a guy as the other two. Farscape is crazy. Braca's Scorpy's boy, through and through. (Cue The Odd Couple theme)

I'm glad you mentioned Causal Nerd Reactions is starting reacting to Farscape, because: A) I wasn't currently paying attention to his channel but I now seen he's starting multiple things I'm interested in, B) I love seeing reactors promote and support each other, C) I agree more need to react to this (and I too think Blindwave would also like it)

Scorpius’ ability to differentiate species and to tell when one is lying is something that was we saw glimpses back in season one. Now, we fully understand how Scorpius recognized John as a Peacekeeper imposter and when he could tell when Rigel was lying to him. Great writing as far as explaining these details organically. I love Jool’s character development. She was introduced as a spoiled princess (Chiana’s words!) and eventually seeing that she is a really good person. Again, just great writing. I subscribed to Casual Nerd just a few days ago when episode two came out. I read that other reactors will also start watching Farscape which is great. I want more to see just how good that this criminally underrated show is. I’m on the fence of whether to see the show rebooted or continued. I know that someday, someone will make it a motion picture. My bet it will be James Gunn as he loved Farscape. Yet, it seems that the creators caught lightening in a bottle. They created great characters and the perfect actors to play them. They wrote the right storylines. And that the show was produced in Australia helped make the show funny and weird. Just a lot of things came together to make Farscape really epic, and I’m not sure that it can be replicated. Finally, the show got it right with Scorpius — probably the best sci-fi villain/anti-villain ever! For a show to be REALLY good, it has to have a Big Bad, as it is the antagonist that usually drives the plot.

I wrote a comment here a few minutes ago which I just removed because, after some research, I found it it was a small spoiler. But suffice to say Braca's strong deference to Scorpy, which seems to border on an almost romantic obsession, causes John to refer to Braca using the name of another similarly obsequious fictional character in one of his wacky pop culture references. He does this early in Season 4, so I won't spoil who that character is right now (I originally mentioned it because I thought it was something made up by the members of a Farscape board/forum I belonged to back in the day, but it turns out that we just started saying it because John had said it). It's something I can't unhear now, though. Whenever I see Braca, I think of that other person whom he kinda resembles...
