I love this movie. Im so glad you enjoyed it too. So much heart, Yelena really carried the emotional scenes - not that the other characters weren't great. It's props all around. Oh and the shots in the beginning in the Marvel logo are scenes from Sentry comics. It's fun visual storytelling

Sentry is basically Marvel's Superman, so he's extremely powerful. I don't think there's a definite answer on if Sentry or Superman is stronger. Also Sentry wasn't created by Stan Lee or Jack Kirby or any of the 60s Marvel staff, he was only created in 2000

Love this film's exporation of bipolar disorder, mania vs depression, and how while one feels good and one bad, they're both incredibly harmful. I love that Yelena is effectively the main character. While we still see review-bombing of shows like Ironheart, I haven't seen any misogynistic outcry at Pugh leading here - obviously there's an additional race element to the review-bombing of Ironheart, but still, we've come a ways from Captain Marvel. I love that brief shot of Lewis Pullman's abs. Sue me. I -didn't- love the literal last thing to happen before that end credit scene introducing the Fantastic 4 being the music credits culminating in a credit for 'Fantastic 4 Theme', spoiling it seconds before it happened.

This movie caught me completely off guard. I expected a fun group romp with characters I liked (Ghost and John and Bucky) and some I didn't mind/didn't know (knew of Yelena but hadn't seen BW so I don't know Red Guardian, or this version of Taskmaster) and got ambushed by one of my favourite MCU movies overall. It was nice that it was actually about something, and had heart. I'm burned out on the MCU in general but I'll definitely keep coming back for stuff like this and Agatha. (common theme between her and John and Ava is I like messy people, I guess)

This is a really fun movie, with a clear theme that was well executed - self-loathing anti-heroes face their loneliness and lack of self-worth and win through by becoming a family. Unlike some other movies that the MCU has done in recent years, it felt like they started with a clear idea of the story they wanted to tell, rather than feeling like they needed to fill a gap in the continuity. Like Thunderbolts comic book runs do, this movie gathered up a bunch of secondary characters who were lacking in purpose and turned them into something cool. I love Bucky and Yelena, and think Stan and Pugh definitely deserve to be headlining Marvel movies. The rest of them I'm not that bothered about, but they were all used well here. I don't like Sentry as a character at all, but did like Bob in this movie. I'll be happy if he only ever appears again as Bob, and isn't used as a deus ex machina to save the day. Especially not if he has to have Yelena be the Nat to his Hulk, and talk him back to himself. She doesn't need to be saddled with that.

I have a question, when might we get the full reaction?

funnylilgalreacts

It was up on Thursday. Select the thunderbolts tag and it should come up

Michael French

Weird, I did that earlier and it didn’t show up. I’m on my phone maybe that’s why. Thank you, I’m new here.

The best MCU Phase 5 movie (and even Phase 4 for me). Surprisingly deep in many levels. Never thought a superhero movie would represent depression/despair so well. This movie gives me hope that Disney/Marvel can recapture the same magic from the first three MCU Phases.

FOOLPROOF

My favorite MCU movie in a while, for sure! I would definitely suggest waiting to watch Fantastic 4 until you can see it at home. What you said makes sense, being able to talk and laugh and cry at home is so much easier than in a theater. Plus we love seeing your genuine first time reactions on this channel. I got to experience this movie all over again today with you, it was awesome😁🔥

James Lewis

But if you don't go to the theaters for the great, original movies, Hollywood will continue throwing these remakes and sequels at us. The only language they speak is money, so tell them that you're not satisfied with the shit they are currently shoveling. Just my two cents.

FOOLPROOF

In general, I absolutely agree with you. Go see movies in theaters to support more movies releasing theatrically. For sure. In this SPECIFIC instance, I would want to see a movie reactor, reacting to the film for the first time. For funnylilgalreacts? I would love to see their first reaction to the film. For the general audience? Go support it in theaters! For the most part, I definitely agree with you👍

"I'm fine." "I'm okay." "Just leave me here." "Always making things worse..." Yeah, these are the phrases that so many of us have lived with for so long, and usually in the face of either getting return comments like, "Get over it," or simply being ignored. I love that this movie tackled that head on. Bob is definitely my hero of the movie, though of course ALL of the characters are Outstanding. And I am so glad that this kind of issue can be portrayed in a movie, an issue that is so relevant in this day and age. Truly, this is a favorite MCU outing. It... made me cry. That's not something I lightly admit to (another thing that I've been trained to suppress over the years), but it was good. Therapeutic. Cathartic. And while of course it does not erase the issues that are out there... it's good to know that someone, somewhere, is listening. And understands.
