You may say you never know where the show is going, but it does often seem to give you what you want when you ask for it - there have been a number of episodes where you've expressed a hope during the intro that comes to pass. Like back in season 2, you said you hoped to hear from Talyn, and wham, Talyn episode. Lots of laughs and no tears - definitely a much needed relief valve after the emotional intensity that precedes it. It is still dark; of course it is, this is Farscape, but the episode is certainly full of fun. Scorpius' view of love makes total sense for his character; what we've seen of the Scarrans doesn't indicate they're big on love, and we know for certain that Scorpy didn't experience it growing up. And he went from the Scarrans directly to the Peacekeepers, who consider love a distraction, if not a weakness, and have largely expunged it from their culture. And he's never shown any real affection to any of the assorted persons he's been implied to have exchanged pleasure with. It's nice to see Jool and D'Argo connecting, and Chiana is clearly enjoying no longer being the new kid on the ship. (Stark never felt junior to her despite joining the ship later) On D'Argo's Qualta Blade and the ship, D'Argo has said before that it's an ancient weapon. We haven't seen anything about him having a special heritage, which seems like the kind of thing that would have come up when he was with the Orucahn who accidentally made herself young by taking Moya's energy. I think the recitation of his lineage his just the way his people formally introduce themselves - I am Blah, son of Blaah and so on - and I think the significance of his great grandfather, beyond them sharing a name, is that it was originally his Qualta Blade. There's every possibility that Grandpappy D'Argo's DNA is. recorded on a data chip inside somewhere - don't forget there's a powerful energy weapon hidden inside that blade, certainly room and tech enough for a data chip - and once he identified himself the ship could confirm D'Argo's DNA as a descendant of the blade's original owner, verifying his identity.
