FANTASTIC MR FOX OMG I HAVENT HEARD OF THAT MOVIE IN YEAAARSSSSS

D

Grand Budapest is his masterpiece but Fantastic Mr Fox is also a must watch

Henkan

Oh YES! Wes Anderson has such a great filmography! Voted Grand Budapest because it's honestly one of my favorite movies of all time.

Jon

Grand Budapest is an absolute classic and one of my all time faves. Really deserves a watch, and I am sure you will love it.

Rory Owens

The Fantastic Mr. Fox may not be Wes Anderson's best movie, but it's the most fun, by far. Brilliant and silly and funny, with great animation style and stellar voice work from everyone. Plus, bandit hats.

Syre2xE

It’s a hard decision right now between fantastic Mr. Fox or grand Budapest hotel…. My answer.(🏨)

QJV

"The Grand Budapest Hotel" ist one of to few perfect films! 💖 It stands out of all outstandig Wes Anderson films! I'm confident that you'll love it and that it may become one of your All-Time-Favorites!

Nathan Boice

I have a soft spot for The Life Aquatic, but Grand Budapest is for sure his best film

Hollow

I love Fantastic Mr. Fox the most so it's got my vote, but can't go wrong with GBH. Hopefully can react to Fox down the line too.

Lars G

Everyone loves Grand Budapest, but The Royal Tenenbaums will always be my favorite.

Jacob King

This is choosing between my most favourite films (though my actual favourite Wes Anderson is The French Dispatch). While there are no wrong answers Life Aquatic is the one that best fits the vibe of this channel. It’s set on a ship!

Chet Brusk

If Isle of Dogs was here that would get my vote. Of these, I'm rooting for The Royal Tenenbaums -- rewatching the family dynamic can reach people in ways they don't expect. And I miss Gene Hackman. But my personal favorite of these is The Life Aquatic. The musical score is delightful.

John Miller

The Life Aquatic is also where his movies reached their full Wes Andersonness.

Lee

Had to vote for Rushmore because it's still my favorite WA film, but you can't go wrong with any of these.

Nemo

While the grand budapest is arguably his best. My personal favorite is The Life Aquatic, I hope it will see the light of day by some reactors at some point. It's such a hidden gem.

Leo Cap

Isle of Dogs not being on here makes me sad :(

Manuel Eckroad

I have to agree that Grand Budapest, in my humble opinion, is in fact a perfect movie.

D

I feel like Isle of Dogs is one of his more accessible films, as is Fantastic Mr. Fox. The animation makes them more family-oriented, so the storytelling never gets overly complicated. By contrast, a film like Asteroid City isn’t a great choice for someone watching Wes Anderson for the first time.

Howie

Same!

Jessica H.

The music and Willem Dafoe is amazing!

Jessica H.

I didn't like fantastic Mr fox. I never finished it. I think I just wasn't in the mood for that style which was different from other Wes Anderson films. I have to try again lol. While it's not in the poll list I really like his first film Bottle Rocket. It's also Owen and Luke Wilson's first movie. It's different than the films he made after but it's a really fun movie!

Natalie

You really should give it another go. It's so funny, and now that you know what it is, it might work better for you.

Natalie

It's my favourite of his, but I still voted Grand Budapest because it's a masterpiece.

Natalie

I echo other people in that you should build up to Grand Budapest. See how he got there over time. I'm a big proponent on release order for most bodies of work. Except Discworld.
