Now the plot has arrived. Its going to be a fun adventure.

I think you're starting to understand now, that even though Himmel dies in the first episode, his presence never leaves. Because it never left for Frieren.

If you weren't already told by someone, when the show first started they released the first 4 episodes at the same time. So up until the end of this episode was basically all considered one big episode - a prologue. A long journey ahead.

I don't know why, but the line of "It's more convenient if it exists" about heaven is just one of my favourite lines in this show, it's such a simple line and rings extremely true, even for an atheist as myself, it would surely be far more convenient if all the good people you meet in life have a proper reward at the end of it. It's just so beautiful in such a simple way. And also the "That's not how relationships work" really hits me in the feels too when Frieren claims it's a waste of time.

life span wise dwarfs live 300-400 years so eisen may have another 50-100 years left eloves dont die of old age at all you have to kill elves in frieren to end them

Great reaction as usual! Angela, did you notice a grape spell being used in this episode? Testing your attention to detail here... 👀

Kyle Taggart

I freaking love Eisen. His lines aren't many, but they HIT when he speaks.

funnylilgalreacts

I did, indeed! How kind of her to consider Eisen’s favorite dessert as well. It’s like she’s evolving/changing.

Wesley Allison

Isen didn't believe in Heaven, while Heiter did (and believed that even if it didnt' exist, it should.). Frieren said there was no evidence for an afterlife. Himmel said it didn't matter, because in Himmel's mind, one should do the right thing regardless of reward.

Howie

That's right! 😀 In episode two, Fern was complaining about Frieren learning the spell for turning sweet grapes sour!

Xena Warrior Princess

Heaven. Better to believe and not need to believe it, then to not believe and needed to have.
