As soon as flashbacks start my eyes water lol. Also did you see Eisen running with a kid on his back? Eisen is this tough and stoic warrior but he's always seen frolicking about in the flashbacks lol.

It's good you're making cross reference to Doctor Who and comparing the lifespan of a Time Lord to Elves, as they are quite similar, while Elves might live for thousands of years, a Time Lord could live an untold amount of years because of their ability to regenerate, their one trick to cheat death, but can still be killed off for good if killed during their regeneration cycle. The difference between Frieren and The Doctor is The Doctor goes out of his way to befriend companions to ride along with him on his adventures, whereas Frieren wasn't really open to that because she thought it pointless to do so given the fact Elves live for a really long time and will outlives those she encounters who have relatively short lifespans.

I am absolutely loving the fact that I went from "Oh okay a new Frieren episode" to being excited for the next episode the second I finish one. This show has gotten better and better and built its lore so well!

I figured Elves just aren't particularly tall in this setting and now we get Kraft the Hunk. I think the reason Kraft was asking if Frieren knew who he was is that there's so few Elves left at this point that all the remaining ones would've at least heard about one another. Äußerst (oi-surst) means outermost, or outerest if you translate it literally.

Nothing that happened within Frieren's lifetime is mythology to her. Flamme is real. But all the things that came before Frieren? Who is left to remember those ages and deeds, to know it wasn't myth? How few are older than Frieren?
