I can’t believe we’re already here this season went by so fast 😢

That image says it all. Can't wait to watch this later....well I can. Not sure I'm ready to face this ending again 😭

That final interaction with John & Aeryn is the most heartbreaking breakup scene on TV. They are both so good and the writing is perfect. It gets me every time. And Farscape season finales are cruel. This was the final episode of Farscape was dubbed in German. It took them 20 years to dub the final season. This finale was the reason back then why I started to watch in English. Because I had to know what happened next.

This is a series where I'm perfectly willing to let a reactioner take a moment to compose themselves when needed. I remember this episode's original airing quite clearly. I had all the same questions and when it ended I was devastated. I still haven't found another show with such cruel cliffhangers. And I didn't know when it would be back, either. I thought D'argo's ship was very cool with how it disintegrated the rogue leviathan with one shot and the very, VERY cool visual of flying through it, seeing the ship come apart from the hull to the skeleton. I would love to see a behind-the-scenes bit showing how they made that. Chiana looks incredible in light blue!

To answer your question. The other Leviathan did not starburst away. Dargo's ship vaporized it. You were seeing the Leviathan disintegrate as Dargo's ship flew through where it used to be. o.0

"It's not just a show." No, it's really not. In fact, that could almost the tagline; Farscape, it's not just a show. Such a heartrending episode. I appreciate how strongly Chiana came out in favor of doing whatever needed to be done to lay Talyn to rest; she did help deliver him, after all.

This episode is such a great one after the previous pair of shows. It built to an ending that was emotional with highs, but amazing lows that pull at your heart and soul. Noranti and Juule really did invigorate the show with their energies being so different from the other cast. I hope you come to love what happened and will watch this again for clarity and gathering more of the nuance of what you saw.
