I think what Pyxis (and Zachary) implied is that while Erwin's actions did (probably?) benefit mankind by ousting the current ruling power, it's undeniable, and Erwin all but admits this on the carriage ride with Zachary, that Erwin didn't depose the government for mankind's benefit, but to save his own life so he could learn the truth of the world. In a vacuum, yeah, that's pretty selfish. Remember how many people were killed in Stohess, just so Erwin would unmask the female titan? Same situation as the coup: justify an extreme action politically/militarily in order to further his own goals. Does that make Erwin a bad person? No. It just makes him very human.

It goes by so quick I can't process what was even going on this episode, so much is thrown at you all at once. Erin's father wanted to use him but instead ate him because he couldn't control him? But he stole the power from someone else, see now I'm thinking Erin who's absorbed 2 different powers from other Titans then, the one his father ate, that can control other titans, then ate his father which allowed him to transform back on top of that other ability. But what doesn't make sense is how did Erin forget all of that after all of that, someone would of had to of wiped his memory after that happened at some point. My heat hurts just trying to think about it. And that key they kept teasing since Season 1 for the basement, I can't seem to place when that would of happened to have gotten the key.

I’m sure it’s going to be revealed at some point. The way I saw Eren not having a memory was also because Ymir didn’t remember eating somebody when she awoke. So maybe it’s a side effect of turning into your first Titan in digesting a super Titan? Without any more information it kind of hurts my brain to think any harder because it could go to a really weird place in a very wrong direction.

I can’t blame somebody for having self preservation, especially when they put their life on the line for as long as they have for humanity. All of that killing and even some of the victories he’s had mean absolutely nothing to the people holding power. And quite frankly, they don’t want somebody like Erwin out there that they can’t control.

Go back to Season 1 episode 9 (towards the end of the episode), where we see Eren having memories of his father before he transforms, he remembers something his father says - I think that will help answer part of your question!

I love the reactions. Very new to the community and I am wondering 2 things. 1. Have Angela read the mid-episode information cards (which are relavent background information)? 2. Does Angela watch AoT from source that offers opening and ending song lyrics? (The lyrics' meanings are so good and adds to the experience)

Debatable whether it should count as too spoilery and should be skipped if she's even skipping the intros a lot of the time, I mean we all watched it at the time and I would personally like to see the reaction to it but some people are against reactors watching anything spoilery even if it was part of how the show originally aired.

The end credit scene on episode 19 ABSOLUTELY has to be watched though.

I forgot how much information is revealed in this episode. You're right, 6 episodes in to the 3rd season with Eren essentially incapacitated is a testament to how invested you are in the large cast of other characters and how developed they've been that they can carry it this far in.
