Yeah this part feels almost like a second season, it’s wonderfully done though

Yup this arc is so fun with many new characters and good story/character development. I always find it hilarious that Frieren seems to be a bit jealous of Fern's "assets."

Frieren is based off of a Manga (Japanese Comic). There are about 147 chapters currently that has been plagued by both authors taking breaks due to health issues. The manga is on indefinite hiatus which sucks. The anime season one is about 60 chapters of the manga and season two goes to chapter 104. Since the story stopped I would guess there is enough source material for three seasons before the hiatus even though there is no conclusion of the third arc yet in the manga. There has been no announcement for anime season 3 or when the manga will resume. Fans are hoping the manga continues when season 2 of the anime is released in January 2026.

I have a feeling that emblem Frieren carries carries more significance than we actually know, it's got me thinking that Flamme might of been the one who helped establish that city of mages before she found Frieren and that be how that one guy recognizing that emblem, as a part of an order of mages who were the founders.

David Winegeart

I think when Frieren said she wouldn’t be able to use it for long, she meant in the context of her lifespan-like the standards for examining mage skill change every few centuries.

Last week Abe Tsukasa posted on Twitter that "it will end up being a slow pace, but I'm thinking of drawing various things as I go." Not sure what Kanehito Yamada plans to do but it makes me wonder if they'll end up moving to a "chapters will release when we finish them" type schedule, vs their usual biweekly schedule

And this is where the names start to get a bit silly, we've got Lawine (avalanche) which is cool but we also got Kanne (can, i.e. a vessel for holding water), Genau (exact/ly), Denken (to think), Lernen (to learn) and Übel straight up means "evil". But a good episode nonetheless :)
