I asked Siri, and she said that you can turn off the recaps so that might be why some people have recaps and other others don’t

This season is so good so far!! If they can nail the finale then this will be a perfect show! It is a little jarring how much they age between seasons but the actors still do a great job and the show is better than ever. I cant wait for your other reactions to this season!

As far as trauma goes, Will did go through his parents divorce and his father's neglect and indifference. Joyce told Hopper first season that Lonnie called him names. So I don't think it was just happenstance that he took Will.
