F the haters, this was lovely and a perfect addition to the Karate Kid Universe. Would love to see more but this also works as a great epilogue to Cobra Kai. As far as rankings go, I'd say original's always going to be #1, so The Karate Kid original Cobra Kai Karate Kid Legends 2 and 3 simultaneously in 4th place Karate Kid reboot The Next Karate Kid Karate Kid Animated Series I love them all so none of them are bad IMO

currently sitting at a 2.8 out of 5 average on letterboxd Rotten Tomatoes says 90% audience approval which is wildly different I remember seeing a lot of people commenting they were bored, their kid fell asleep, things like that. Honestly it's hard to weed out who is a fake reviewer just to be spiteful and who is genuinely not happy for a real reason

One guy says "1 out of 5 - Another example of milking the franchise. Zero character development. Story could be told in half the time" but then goes on to say "everything's rushed" so pick one there guy. LOL Another says "2/5, recycled disappointment" but there's twice as many glowing reviewers so whatever

This was indeed a great movie, its really nice to have a continuation of the Miyagi Do legacy. Of some of the old movies featuring Jackie Chan I would have to recommend Master with Cracked Fingers, this came out in 1979, it's not your typical Kung-Fu action fighting, but it's got some comedy gold in there, but also a look at a very young Jackie Chan before he got his big play in action movies. Other movies featuring Jackie Chan I would recommend; - House of Fury - New Police Story - Shanghai Knights - The Accidental Spy - Mr. Nice Guy - First Strike

Watch along wishlist: J Jackson- One week. J Chan- The Foreigner
