I always chuckle at the thought that Craig would've totally kissed the Doctor if he weren't already taken. I aim to have that Time Lord rizz. Btw, The Doctor saying he doesn't like the redecoration is something of an old gag from the original series, I believe. I'm not sure if I should say or not why he says it in the original series. Not sure if I'm allowed to but it's something he says in the series before.

And that my dear is the last we will see of Craig. I don’t know if James Corden was getting too busy or if he’s getting too expensive for Doctor Who but honestly, he was one of my favorites. I like how he just played a normal guy instead of being what he would eventually be typecasted as. I find the modern James Corden kind of offputting, but I’ve always enjoyed him in the two episodes of Doctor Who he’s in.

Petrichor - for the girl who's tired of waiting

A couple fun callbacks: The "you've redecorated, I don't like it" line was used in Classic Who every time a Doctor sees a future Doctor's TARDIS, or something to that effect. Cybermats are also from Classic Who, especially the 2nd Doctor's cyberman story. They're considerably scarier now in this story.

This episode was fun, James and Matt have good on screen chemistry, any bits between them and the baby was very funny, the scene with Matt talking just with Stormy under the sky lights was very touching.... then a hard 180 for the final five minutes! Completely off topic - I saw your wrestling reactions videos earlier! LOVE you're doing those now, is there a separate channel for those? Do they like 'Live' somewhere or will they just pop up on my feed because I'm subscribed to your Youtube?

In the UK that is a completely normal jug of milk 🥛

I always forget about this episode during rewatches because it's surrounded by a lot of emotionally heavy episodes but this is actually a good little reprieve and just a fun time.

I liked the perfume Amy was modeling for was Petrichor.

Season finale on Christmas Eve? Heck yeah. Would it be too much to hope for 2 episodes next week and get the Christmas special on Christmas Day?

Not a great episode, but a fun one. And it's nice to see a resolution powered by a father's love, rather than the far more common mother's love.

Yeah, that's the duality of this character. One the one hand, James Corden by many accounts is not a great person IRL. On the other hand, Craig is a wonderful character and he plays him very well. And for the purposes of this comment and this react video, I would like to focus on the latter. Also, I once again must say, it is so wonderful, as someone that watched Smith's whole run live as it came out, to now know exactly what's going to happen, and see all the little hints and setups along the way, leading to big payoffs. It just underlines how good the writing is. At the time, I wasn't sure. But now, it all makes sense, and I wish I appreciated it more at the time.

Carl Wilson

Come on. It's also a spoiler to say who's not coming back.

Matt Smith's "dialogue" with Stormageddon is so incredibly charming (and yes, poignant) in this episode - James Corden comes in third, but a strong third!
