And here it begins. The final Farscape episodes.. If I remember correctly we learned after this episode, that the series was unexpectedly cancelled.

This episode IS a mind frell the first time. But you got it! I saw this when it originally aired and I recall finding the place John talks to "Einstein" as being dull and a "budget saver" but being fascinated by the ideas posited and, of course, the mix-n-match Moya. Fun fact, the cast was asked which other character they wanted theirs to be combined with and Anthony Simcoe chose Jool because he "wanted breasts". And he was apparently VERY GOOD at being Tammy Macintosh. LOL. If you have watched the next episode, or if you haven't yet, there is one thing I think you should do either before or after. Go back to That Old Black Magic from season 1, the first Maldis episode, and replay the part at the beginning where John meets Maldis in his "jester" form. Something said in that scene pays off in this next episode of season 4.

I absolutely love this episode. All of it. John's conversations with "Einstein" are fantastic. Especially the opening sequence of Time, Time, Time. As far as the "Harvey knew!" I always just assumed that was revealing Harvey had managed to fully assimilate the wormhole knowledge during his time in John's mind, which John didn't think he'd managed. Though we don't in fact know about how much Scorpius knew about stuff before he created the neural clone; he had been studying and experimenting in pursuit of wormholes for some time before he encountered John. The mash-up portrayals are great fun. I remember clocking Claudia as Chiana the first time through, but I also thought Jack was Scorpy until about halfway through their conversation. I think my favorite is Rygel as D'Argo. Just so adorable. The To Be Continued was indeed very harsh back in the day. Almost as harsh now; I've watched the series many times over the years, but I haven't watched it one episode a week since the original broadcast. To that end, I do find myself hoping the next reaction is recorded in time for posting next Friday, but proper rest should be the priority. I'd rather wait an extra week than have you exhaust yourself.

I liked the call back to episode 1, when John kinda comes to and starts trying to talk to Canaveral before he realizes that he's somewhere else, with this time, trying to talk to Moya's crew and then becoming aware that he went back to Earth by mistake.
