Shattering a perfectly intact Zetan corpse to get to the working freezer is so delightfully Fallout. I loved this episode. Fallout has had tongue and cheek references to aliens since the first game, supposedly a lot of the hyper advanced tech is reverse engineered from crashed spaceships. Fallout 3 had a whole DLC adventure where you get abducted by a mothership and have to unfreeze a samurai, a cowboy, and a marine to take down the alien menace from within.

Sometimes I feel like Lucy is learning how to survive in the wasteland and then she goes and pulls shit like this, I felt the Ghouls frustration at the end of this episode and 100% empathise with it

I love this season so far, possibly even more so than season 1. I guess it is that they don't need no exposition anymore and we can dive right back into the action. I love that we get to see so much of the west coast wasteland. Seeing how Maximus lost his family simply broke my heart. Shady Sands was on it's way to create a new, better world and Hank had to go and destroy it. I rarely ever hated a fictional character so much as I hate Hank McLean. The cut to him washing his hands of the responsibility for all that was so fitting. At the end of the scene, Lucy asking when her mom will be back...😭 I have a theory why Hank destroyed Shady Sands with a bomb. It always seemed like an overreaction for me to do it just because his wife left him and Shady Sands was the better alternative for a peaceful post-apocalyptic world. No, Hank was not completely lying to Lucy at the end of season 1. He actually did what he believed he had to do to save his people, the vault people. As you can see, Maximus dad drilled for water and found lots of clean water deep down. Now remember what Lee Moldaver said in season 1 - Rose (Lucys mother) discovered that something was syphoning the vaults water away and that she deduced from that incident that maybe life had returned to the surface. She went out to look and discovered Shady Sands, fell in love with Moldaver and the city in general and decided to leave Hank and the vault. The people from Shady Sands were the ones that took the vaults water (albeit unknowingly). So Hank attacked Shady Sands with the bomb to save the water reservoir for the vault. The revenge and the erasing of competition was just a bonus on top...🤔 The only thing that doesn't fit (at least for now) is that I don't know how far away Shady Sands was from the vaults. The alien joke and the destruction of the beautiful car was hilarious, but I guess a lot of pre war knowlege is lost forever...😂 I am worried that Quintus is too much of a bad influence for Maximus. The managers haven't seen the outside world for over 200 years, so a missing mall would probably one of the first things I would notice, too...😅 I think Hank was indeed changing the fequencies and the last mouse we saw was climbing the chair, so I guess he got some results. The mice blew up to fast, so I guess he switched to (yet unlikable) humans...🤔 The leader of the canyon chapter (kind of a wish version of Charlie Hunnam) of the brotherhood had a license plate IN his forehead, probably to close an open wound a long time ago. Could be the reason why he was so dim...🤔😅 The real life of knight differs so much from his ideal, Maximus is anything but happy with how things are, just as Dane. Only Maximus believes he can change the way of the brotherhood for the better, while Dane seems to have given up on them and does not like the way Maximus changes. Lucy and the ghoul are such a great duo - he helps her to survive in the wasteland, to get tougher and she in return humanizes him and helps him to remember who he once was and what he stood for. She is so adorably stubborn, she always gets through to him, no matter how much it annoys him...😍 I wonder what the girl meant with "raped by the wrong people"? Was she implying that there are right people to get raped by? 🤔😨🙈 I love Lucy so much, I hope she never loses her kindness and optimism and sense of fairness...😍🙏🏻 I'm so hyped by Kumail Nanjianis appearance as Paladin of the Commonwealth, I can't wait for episode 3...🙌

Key difference when timeline split for the fallout world and ours is that the transistor was invented in 2067 for fallout in 1946 in ours. Transistors are the building blocks for all modern electronics.

pulled from the fallout wiki- The most common type of Radscorpions originate from the North American Emperor scorpion, which were prolific in many pet stores and homes. They have since mutated to become much larger, faster and more venomous than their pre-war counterparts. For the record Radscorpians rank near the bottom of the "oh fuck I'm gonna die list". The actor playing Maximus' dad killed it, I also cried. "Patrolling the Mojave makes me wish for a nuclear winter" is a phrase many generic NPCs say when approached In New Vegas- it's very funny and a great example of how this show is so loyal to what came before.

Also, for context all of the States in America in this world were reorganized into 13 commonwealths before the great war. So, they could be referring to anyone, but the commonwealth brotherhood most likely refers to the Boston/Washington D.C. Brotherhood

Ew... Caesar's Legion. The Ghoul had a valid point about not aiding those people and now Lucy's in for a world of hurt.

Definitely feels that without Lucy, Maximus is settling for trying to leave the Brotherhood a bit better than he found it, but is dissatisfied with that circumstance. Can’t help but think that Kumail’s character will become a more inspiring role model for Maximus than Quintus, for better or worse.

I think Hank is planning on completing the work either as a way to try and better control his own vault dwellers or to get the remaining surface humans in line and not have to "Shady Sands" anywhere else... and maybe brownnose Mr. House a bit in the process. "Is it rats?" You wish is was rats... and you confirmed that you definitely wish it was rats. lol I think Lucy, after traveling with the Ghoul and seeing his cruelty and disregard for life, has her doubling down on her core values. The Brotherhood is a mess, live action Rock'Em Sock'Em robots and playing with grenades. The people Norm unthawed seem like a bunch of middle managers who are going to be easily manipulated. There was progress with the rats showed he was getting them more and more to the computer desk than the cheese... so some sort of progress. I think he reached the limit and needed to jump to human trials. I am at least glad that Hank showed some sort of remorse so he isn't completely a cartoony villain.
