He dehydrated the trash, so it rehydrated in the rain.

This is probably 3rd time watching this movie and I'm just reminded how great it is all over again. What makes it great was that he was never a villain, he was just forced in to that role, and chose to play along to that role.

Purple Nurple

I did say it had a great soundtrack in the poll! This movie came out the same year as Despicable Me, so this movie got overshadowed by the yellow minions, whereas this minion is SO much better! This is a great dopamine hit for me, and I'm so glad I bought this on DVD! Watching this the same time as The Boys finale season... I see Metroman to be who Homelander wishes he was - adored by everyone! Hal is basically the Deep in his personality haha!

Skipp

This movie is far too often overlooked. Such a fun story with a few unique twists. It had an amazing cast and fantastic soundtrack.

I’m so happy you watched this movie I couldn’t believe you didn’t just like I couldn’t believe you haven’t watched Your Name. Aha i managed to sneak it in here.

dys

Same on Your Name, but unlike Megamind it probably IS one that will make her cry. Nothing like some of the more devastating Band of Brothers episodes or Ghibli films, but it is an emotional rollercoaster.

Merkavar

damn banana loving minons robbed us of megamind 2 and a megamind/incredibles cross over :D all the possibilities

Ron B

This was a lot of fun! I don't know why I never watched it when it came out but I too was aaaaaaabsolutely blown away by how amazing this soundtrack was as well.

This one had way more heart in it than expected and I love revisiting it. If you want another more reserved Will Ferrell movie, you should watch Stranger than Fiction.

This is the first time I've watched this movie since my breakup 3 years ago. It was my ex's kid's favorite movie and I'm glad it was a watch-along with you. On another note, you should definitely re-watch the movie over and over and over from now on because you will always catch more. It wasn't until this watch-through that I noticed the Warden's eyes were different when Minion was disguised as him. You clocked Megamind's eyes when he was disguised as Bernard, and that's always the tell. As for the spelling of Tighten, it was changed mid-movie intentionally. When Space Dad was introducing the future plot, "Titan" is supposed to be the superhero. When Hal decides he doesn't want to be good, the name changed to "Tighten" instead, hence the two versions in the captions and why Hal spelled it as "Tightenville". Originally, the creators wanted Ben Stiller to voice Megamind, unfortunately scheduling concerns didn't allow for him to be the character. But to still get him, you saw he played Bernard instead. I suspect (though I don't think it's confirmed) that that's why Megamind switches into Bernard, a sort of tongue-in-cheek reference to their original casting. A final note, Megamind was released a little while AFTER Despicable Me. So when it was released it was being compared to that instead of being judged on its own merits. In another universe, Megamind became a superfranchise and the Minions wouldn't exist. And I don't know about you, but every time I see "Musicman", I think it looks like Markiplier and I'll never unsee it lmao.
