I was not prepared for how emotional I got at the beginning of this episode.

I forgot the story got that far and was starting out on Serpent's Pass for S2. they really rushed the story that much in S1, that it kinda bleeds in to S2 a little I feel. The CGI in this is alright, not entirely the best or ground breaking, but some really good effects, there were moments where they used CGI unnecessarily and it takes you out of the moment. Like that bit in the beginning when Aang surfs on the wall of ice, that took out of the moment because they used CGI in a way that made it look horrible CGI just for that 7 second clip. The fur on Appa just felt like it's overdone with how fur moves in the wind, it's all over the place looking like they're underwater or something the way they chose to animate that in CGI, using some simple wave effect that simulates wind on fur, but not actual physics of wind, it felt like that in S1 too, I just didn't like the look of how Appa looked in this 3D CGI form because of how it was animated because that distracted a lot from what I was actually seeing.
