Even before their troubles, before Richmond, #4 was, and now is again, Michelle... Michele, a more troubled, yet more 'dear' x-wife than we might have imagined. this damn show is so good. (and perplexing - Jamie's hair - great comment Angela!)

Two more seasons, and a movie! I feel bad for Beard, and don't blame him for misreading her intent after she tucked her feet under his ankles.

I’m so glad the show finally addressed the whole Dr Jacob situation. Top notch nuanced writing

There’s so much to love about this episode, I almost feel overwhelmed and don’t want to start anywhere. It’s just so good… After watching this a second time, there is one takeaway I’m getting…I think Michelle made the original Believe sign for Ted that was so iconic. I can imagine a younger Michelle making that lopsided sign and Ted using it wherever he coached…and even as things were ending, that sign remained one of the thing he chose to define his locker room right away. That makes me smile. I’m glad they do let Michelle not be a villain, but be complicated, and to give a peek into her struggles. Her and Jacob…it’s not excuses, it’s reasons. And that’s valid.

Totally agree on that "Keeley overheard part of the conversation out-of-context"-trope. It's 'Friends'-level sitcom writing of the late '90s and early 2000s, and I expected this show to be above it. I'm hoping it gets resolved next episode. I do think that so far season 4 is shaping up to be miles better than season 3, so I'm happily content!

Yeah, I can't blame Michelle for seeking that comfort, and I can't blame Jacob for eventually falling in love with someone as wonderful as her. I don't think either of them did anything wrong really, never really did, it was weird first time and I understood Teds pain about it. And I think the hate-train for Michelle+Jacob was so exaggerated, and A LOT of viewers forgot to be curious and chose to be judgemental.
