This miracle of a show is so back! It’s so back to the magic that makes us 'believe!' Ah, Angela, I'm afraid the Richmond shares takeover is being done by... Zelda. P.S. Even though I'm in Green Bay, I still feel your Lions pain. Chin up Angela, Believe!

One of the very best episodes of all four seasons of Ted Lasso today. Tanya Reynolds continues to wow as Coach Chilton. What a performance. Truly beautiful moment with Ted showing how to be there for someone going through a tough time. Higgins playing detective is a nod to the classic Watergate movie ‘All The President’s Men’ - his scribbles and doodles on an A4 pad are exactly what Robert Redford did in that film. Redford’s character meets his source in an underground car park who tells him to ‘follow the money’. Mae meets Higgins in a cellar and tells him to ‘follow the anger’. There are loads of nods to the movie ‘Inside Out’ too including the colourful sticky notes symbolising the core memories. Masterfully done.

such a great episode! Alice just keeps being more and more outstanding, both the acting that creates this character, and the way this character is the main character of the season. We so knew it was gonna happen, there's no reason that we'd get teary-eyed when Roy and Keeley finally would get back together. And yet. (How did they do that?) Whoever is buying the shares has both money and anger, and the only character we've seen this season with both money and anger is Zelda. I don't know what her goal or motive might be, though. Her attitude in basically every situation is fuck you, isn't it? But if it is Zelda, why wouldn't she just openly work to take over the club? Why the duplicitousness? Who would need to keep their machinations so secret? It's clearly malicious intent -- the people who sold their shares are so scared to reveal the secret... It's gotta be Zelda, doesn't it?

Oh, I absolutely think it is Zelda. And Hugo. That close-up of him at the party, that had to be foreshadowing. With Rupert, I think they are going to do what they have done with other regular characters from the show’s original run: give him one episode return to revisit where he is at. And I especially think that this is the reason why we have not seen any cards on the episodes honoring Anthony Stewart Head, because they will save their “in memory of“ for the episode he is in. RIP Giles. I do think it’s nuts that Roy had the gall to tell Keeley Jones, a former pinup model who has been recognized in public on the show a few times, that it’s scary to be a celebrity in public. I’m glad Dr Beaumont is not out of this show. But I really need Angela to consider watching Shrinking to reverse all this Derek slander. She might also want to watch The Studio on Apple TV, because something tells me that Mae would absolutely love a certain movie that The Studio team is making. I will say that it was wild to watch this episode on Wednesday, as I went in for surgery on my shoulder today. Definitely made Gemma’s story hit a little harder. Oh, and if you want to cry about sports, look up what the Chicago Cubs’s Ian Happ did earlier this week in his possibly-final game at Wrigley Field. Absolute legend. Oh, and what team makes me cry? If my now forced-to-be-public-and-private username is not a giveaway, it’s the San Francisco Giants. If it means anything to you as a Detroit fan, I’m sorry about 2012. Well, maybe not really, but I sympathize. EDIT: also, there’s one tiny thing regarding Zelda and Rebecca. When Leslie starts his investigation, Zelda offers to help because she has other people who like to go through the muck, or something like that. But Rebecca? She went through Gemma’s social media herself to find the answer about what she likes. One of the most subtle callbacks of this episode, and a great difference – making parallel between the two. I absolutely think that Zelda is a scorpion

Mulling over who the Big Bad is who is secretly and coercively making a play to take over AFC Richmond... I've mostly thought it is Zelda. She seems to have a lot of anger that drives her. But her anger is directed at men, isn't it? Men are scorpions, she said. Doesn't she identify herself as one of the frogs? And the defender of the bridges Rebecca builds? The first time we see Zelda, she is digging into all the rich men who are pretending to be allies of women and using the funding of women's teams as a way to up a good PR front. And this show does a pretty good job of not doing what seems like the expected or cliche or usual thing... So Rupert now seems to me like way too easy an answer, doesn't it? He may certainly carry some vindictiveness with him for being booed off the pitch after shoving coach short shorts to the ground, but I'm just not convinced that all of that would be directed at Rebecca now after being confronted by Bex and Ms. Kakes and even misogynist Coach Short Shorts has stood up to Rupert. Edwin Akufo? He certainly has the temperament and the money. And Rebecca undid his attempt to start the Akufo League. But really? What about Jack Danvers, the venture capitalist who dated Keeley?? Not enough intensity there. Ok, here's what I think. There's no official announcement that there will be a season 5, but there have been hints. So I'm thinking that Rupert and Zelda and Akufo et al. will all turn out to be mis-directs and someone we haven't met yet will be revealed as the climax of episode 10 -- after some huge catastrophe leaving all the characters we love suddenly in the lurch -- and then that person will be the big bad of season 6 -- and beyond? The danger here is that such a Big Bad would be too cartoonish, which surely Sudeikis & Co. would be smart enough to avoid?
