I do love the Vampiric politics, gives the story wonderful depth and lets us know and understand Draculas feelings and mindset. Wish the episodes were longer though

Downeast Beast

This is my first watchthrough of Season 2, I'm as blind as you are at this point. Really cool seeing so many references to Castlevania III (NES) and Symphony of the Night (Playstation) That said, there are some small, disappointing things. It's Netflix, and they have a huge budget, and this only 8 episodes, yet some of the set pieces feel really flat, like the book Lisa was reading from. Just scribbles. Anime from over 10 years ago manage to animate and detail book pages that are onscreen for less time than that, also the continuous use of pretty bold black outlines for all the animated bits makes it feel like it's stuck in the mid to late 2000s. I don't think the show's bad; just a surprising level of quality, in a bad way, considering the studio and length of syndication.

From the looks of (un)dead body on Hector's slab, he is making gargoyles/blue-eyed demons out of bodies. So, even if something of Bishop survives after conversion, unfortunately, I don't think that he would be a vampire, just a demon. Although, if he'd have as much dedication to Dracula, as he had to the church, that demon might be a tough cookie to beat...

I'm not sure they had a massive budget for season 2, and considering there's a lot of Hollywood talent for the voice acting, it would consume a not-so-insignificant part of the budget as well.

i am confused, have i missed the other episode reactions? why are we in s2 already (just started the castlevania collection yesterday) Edit: I am just dumb, i just triple checked, theres only 4 episodes in s1 my bad lol

This is Netflix's first big animation project as well as from before we got these series with 40+ minute episodes. Woulda been nice but not entirely necessary, I feel like the time limit really helped them to condense everything important
