It ended up taking me FAR longer than it had any right to, but I have finally gotten Peasantsday to a point where it can be released to the public. You can click here to watch it.

It clocks in at an hour, though I won't lie when I say I stretched the credits out 20 seconds to make that timestamp. 59:41 was just so close to an hour, I just had to do it for the meme.

The video isn't finished, and I won't be finishing it. I am officially declaring my work on this video over. It was never even meant to be a released video in the first place - it was just something to do on stream.

The full project has been open-sourced. All of the assets used, the SFM session files, the unique scripts and data files written for it, the Davinci Resolve project. You can download all of it here. It is totally open for people to edit, modifying, pull from, or even straight-up complete the video themselves. I would personally love to see the community come together to see the video polished up.

As for myself, though, I am concluding this chapter and moving on.

This last sprint ended up taking me two solid months, with the effort to install the audio beginning on August 15. Tomorrow, October 15, will mark exactly 2 months since that effort began.

My original plan for once the Frozen video was done was for me to take a month exploring Blender some more, before returning to Overbreed. However, that was back when I expected this last sprint to take a month.

I won't lie, these past few weeks of mostly just working around animating has been driving me bonkers. As such, I am going to jump immediately back into Overbreed, starting tomorrow.

With the death of the Short video, my plan is to work on Overbreed from now till the point that it's ready for voicing. That in itself is going to be a massive undertaking, but that's a bridge we'll burn as we get to it. Cities are built one brick at a time, after all.

As a final note, a quick update on Micros:

Firstly, I have heard back from Milly. She is hoping to record later this week. We'll see how that goes.

And then secondly and far more importantly, I am currently eyeballing three separate "second-barrel" Micro projects: the aforementioned 8-part Life is Strange Arc, a 6-part Nyotengu Arc that would finally start moving the needle on my forever-in-progress DOAFACU project, and a 12-part-likely-to-be-split-into-two-6-part Futashep Arc that features her sparring with her Cerberus Femshep Clone.

I am still really torn on the speculative DVa Arc that I brought up last week. I like the idea, but I'm just not sure I can really make a whole Arc out of it. I will continue to mull on it. I have a lot of permutations of the general DVa idea that I can explore. A few of them I think would be good candidates for Micro videos. It's really a matter of teasing them out and seeing what really sticks out to me.

Similarly speaking about DVa, I am also putting more thought into adapting my plans for Rabbit.Hole into the Micro series. Something I intend to do this week is dust off my old plans for the FuckBuddy app progression and make some adjustments to it. See what all things I think reasonably cluster together and I could tell a story from, and then structure each of those clusters into its own Micro Arc.

I'm also contemplating making some more significant structural changes to Rabbit.Hole. I had always planned for there to be a comedic twist ending to the series, where after DVa's finished off the whole checklist, she checks the scoreboard to find that she's not the #1 slut on the world like she thought she would be - instead, she is #2, second place to Mei.

However, in more recent months, I have been entertaining the idea of DVa and Juno having a friendly (or maybe not so friendly) sex competition. I might explore the idea as its own Micro series, but I might also integrate it into Rabbit.Hole as well. And rather than it being a throwaway joke at the end, like the original plan for Mei, it may instead become a more prominent and persistent feature of the Rabbit.Hole story.

I'm undecided on that particular aspect.

At any rate, that's all for now. Until next week, everyone, where we will return to the usual Progress Reports!
