Hello, everyone!

I apologize for, once again, being a day late on making this week's Progress Report. The ADHD gremlins were in full force yesterday, and it was a challenge to even get the day's Micro work done. On the upside, I did watch a fantastic 2.5-hour video about an EMI-hardened PC from the 80s!

With that being said, let's discuss what all got done last week. Some of it's about as obvious as a trio of ladies with tits twice the size of their head, some of it less so, and some of it is stuff I have been chipping away at for a while and am very excited about the breakthrough progress made!

For this week's Progress Report, I am going to structure the post a bit differently. Rather than a top-down approach, I want to take a bottom-up approach. I ended last week's Progress Report with a list of things I wanted to get done. Let's go over that list and see what all actually got done:

As I mentioned at the top, the first thing I want to do is make that roadmap blog post. My biggest aspiration, then, is that I want to finish lip-syncing all of the Narrative dialogue I currently have for Overbreed, with a secondary aspiration of getting the camera fully integrated into the SFM Blender Pipeline. And, of course, getting Breed & Bond Episode 2 released on Friday.

The first thing on this list is the roadmap blog post. And I did manage to get it done! If you haven't read it yet, you can do so here. It doesn't really go over anything that is new to anyone whose been keeping up with these Progress Reports, mostly recapping the journey and evolution of the Micro system as I've figured it out, and the final structure and rhythm I've settled into.

The only really pertinent piece to pull out of that post is this infographic of the Micro plans for 2026 and 2027. The plan itself isn't new, I've discussed it to death several times now. But the concise visualization was made explicitly for that blog post, and I think is a good shorthand to keep around.

The other big thing in that list is the handwaved release of Breed and Bond Episode 2 to Patreon, with the Episode 1 release going public. That also was accomplished, with the schedule so far humming along without issue.

Everything else in that list, lip-syncing all of Overbreed and getting the camera integration into the SFM Blender Pipeline... didn't happen.

I managed to get a decent chunk of Overbreed lip-synced, but not nearly as much as I was hoping to get. I am quite pleased that I managed to get the funniest sequence in the entire video lip-synced though. The GIF doesn't really sell it, but without the ability to directly embed videos, it's the best I can do. You can click here to listen to the clip.

I never got around to lip-syncing the sequence with Mercy alone, leading up to Sequence B. To say nothing of lipsyncing Sombra's dialogue in Sequence C as it is.

And then I just never got around to tackling the SFM Blender Pipeline at all.

A big part of this general lethargy is the fact that my birthday was last Wednesday, the day after that post was made. I originally didn't have any plans for it, my family has never been big on celebrating holidays. But my friends had other plans, and I had birthday plans sprung upon me without my awareness.

Thursdays are of course my day off, and while Friday was a release day, the release process actually went pretty smoothly and I was able to get the Overbreed lip-syncing done that same day.

For reasons I can't really articulate, Saturday ended up being very unproductive outside of the Micro work. Sunday is stream day, and this past Sunday saw us work on the bimbo Witcher outfits, for Primordium Episode 4. If you managed to miss that discussion, it was described in disturbing detail (complete with MS-paint graphs and charts) in last week's Progress Report.

The outfits came out disgustingly well in my opinion, I absolutely love them and think they look fantastic. Even more impressive than the outfits looking good though, they also came out behaving well too. I was able to slap them onto the existing Episode 4 posing I had already done, and they worked without issue.

And so, we ended that stream finishing up the core posing for Episode 4's main sequence, seen below, as well as animating it. We got Ciri and Yennefer animated, though Triss remains to be done.

So that was overall a very productive Sunday stream, and I become all the more convinced that this will end up being a very bombastic way to end Primordium's first Chapter, and one banger of a way to start the ladies' long journey through depravity.

My original plans for Monday were to spend the day getting more Overbreed lip-sync done (after getting the Micro work done, of course). However, I ended up going to bed on Sunday with thoughts buzzing around in my head around Starsail Bordello, the scifi brothel game that I have been musing in the past.

And when I woke up in the morning on Monday, I sat down to write out those ideas. And I just kept writing. And writing. And writing.

While the notes aren't quite ready to share yet, both because they're incomplete and because they're such an incoherent mess that they'd make a conspiracy theorists' red-string board look quaint by comparison, allow me to share my elevator pitch with you all:

In a remote colony of star systems, sex work is heavily regulated and controlled through a network of state-sanctioned brothels, operated by The Headmistress. With all prostitution, strip-tease, and pornography production outside of the Headmistress' control strictly prohibited, sex workers have no choice but to endure her cruel and domineering presence as she forces herself into controlling all aspects of their lives.

Until one day, a prostitute working under the Headmistress in the capitol sector broke rank, stealing one of the pleasure shuttles used to entertain VIP guests and striking out into the greater system to operate independently. The Headmistress, determined to send a clear message to any other sex workers who dare to challenge her control of the industry, has sent an unrelenting force of Headhunters after this prostitute and her stolen ship, determined to hunt her down and bring her back.

That prostitute is you.

Perpetually being hunted by the Headmistress, you navigate your pleasure-shuttle-turned-mobile-brothel--your Starsail Bordello--between the twelve outlying sectors of the System, offering an alternative to the state-sanctioned brothels that service them, showing the franchisee operators that an independent future free from the Headmistress' tyranny is possible, and recruiting sex workers who defect from her employ seeking a more fair and just environment.

Build up reputation within each sector, all of which have their own unique benefits and challenges for operating within them, all the while evading the Headhunters, until your success finally manages to convince the local brothels to break away altogether from the Headmistress. Liberate them into full sovereignty, take ownership of them as a more benevolent alternative to the despotic Headmistress, or leave your own working ladies behind to guide them firsthand in the ways of the Starsail Bordello.

With each local brothel that leaves the Headmistress' network, her privileged position and unique exemptions within the government erode. As the last brothel outside the capitol falls away, her security privileges are revoked, and the Headhunters that have hunted you for so long fall away. All that stands between you and finally confronting the Headmistress herself is convincing the people of the capitol that her iron rule provided inferior service. The tastes and standards of the capitol are impossibly high, but if you can manage to impress them, then--with no customer base left to support her--the Headmistress will have no choice but to resign. Her final fate rests solely upon how thoroughly you manage to dismantle her sex-work empire, and how strongly the liberated brothels are willing to support a new hegemony--one under your control now.

So yeah. That's the high-level pitch. Mechanically, it is very similar to earlier versions of Starsail Bordello I think I have shared, and the setting is largely unchanged. The biggest changes, the real breakthrough, was in the direction of the project.

I've long had a general sense of what you do in the game, but never why you do it. And for me personally, games without purpose are games without meaning. I lose interest in them quickly. I like having some goal to work toward, something tangible I can watch progress being made toward, some outcome that is only achievable through my direct and continued engagement with the game. I like games that have an objective marker of "this is what you need to do," without necessarily telling me how exactly to do it.

I've mentioned before how I have been spinning on a few different game ideas, to pick up as an on-stream project. And how they all had their own setbacks that were preventing me from launching full-bore into any of them. Roadtrip had the firm objective, but relies heavily on unique bespoke content and I'm not confident I can come up with that much for it; Sexwork Simulator is just way too massive in scope for a first project; and Starsail Bordello, until now, had the mechanics but no objective to guide it.

But with a firm direction in mind now, I feel like Starsail Bordello is quickly gearing up as being the most viable game project going forward. There are a few things I still need to iron out, as well as drafting out some content paths to guide the development, but I feel like it is within the realm of possibility that it may end up becoming an on-stream project within the next week or two.

I'm really excited for it.

At any rate, that's all for now. The wheels keep turning, and we keep chugging. Episode 3 of Breed and Bond releases on July 10th.

Until next week, everyone!

Thank you for the IBM Link. I watched the whole thing out of pure interest in the topic. Ciri, Yen and Triss are also great to look at.
