So good news, I went with my gut and figured out how the divinity route in dealing with the chiefs would go. But bad news, let's say, it's quite dark if that's how you want to play it.

So we've gotten a preview for each of the ways to handle the Tribes, but I'm having a hard time being able to tell which one is Leadership and which one is Combat? I only ask because my MCs who specialize in those happen to be the ones that I'm planning on sending to Vinia 😅 so I'm not sure if I'll have the stats on the MCs on this route to check myself ahaha Also: when it comes to using divinity, will just building up the stat by studying divinity contribute towards the consequences of using it? Or is it only when you choose to actively use it like these scenarios? Asking for my MC who's only researching it because she wants to keep that shit locked down, I'd hate to accidentally make her a divine time bomb instead 😅

You'll know which is Combat versus leadership based on the ability to attack and the ability not to attack. The binds comes up in every iteration of the scene except the divinity scene. You can build up divinity without using it for bad - so if you go down the diplomacy approach offered here, no one dies so win-win? 😅 If you have 70 an old above for your main stats and I think it's 60 for divinity, you can unlock these choices.

Noted! And on a sort of similar note that today's Bad Ending post reminded me of: Do our stats/past choices have any impact on the success/failure of the route we didn't choose (so what happens in Vinia while on the Nomad Route and vice versa)? Or is the result more or less decided by the fact that MC isn't there to help out?

Yes and no. The way I've coded it is that you can still succeed in getting the required 40 or above stat check for the Nomad Tribes support even if you didn't free Lena. It'll be very obvious (I hope) which choices will lead to the bad end - if your intent is to stir the pot and be combative, then obviously an alliance won't work. That said, all versions of securing an alliance, be it through leadership, combat, diplomacy, divinity or by accepting what's going on can lead to success or failure. If you don't go to Vinia/Nomad Tribes, your past choices will come back to haunt you in that case. I debated using a randomiser to determine success/failure outcomes but I felt like it disregards player choice too much so it'll be based on whether or not Lena was freed along with Irus' leadership style (Nomad path) and whether or not you got the support of Kazan (Vinia path). Hopefully it's easy enough to succeed but I'm open to tweaking stat checks if too many players find it too hard to pass. I'm very opposed to stat-heavy games so this is more or less the only time (barring the final battle) that will rely so much on it 😅
