RITA: Forgive me if I am wrong, Doctor, but you visit me semi-regularly for calibration & further experimentation. You could be visiting me for any number of reasons regarding my construction.

Dr. M: ...Rita, honey, you're a very smart lady. I think you know why I'm here.

RITA: ...

RITA: ... there was likely an anomalous activity report filed regarding my abnormal behavior after observed operation hours.

Dr. M: There was indeed. In fact, you had numerous RITA units active at the same time, seemingly interacting with each other. I'm hoping you have a good explanation for something triggering this early in the morning.

RITA: ...

Dr. M: Rita... 'did you have a bad dream?'

RITA: Yes, I did.

"I'm glad we implemented that safe phrase, dear. You deserve your privacy just as much as I do, even if the faculty disagrees."

"I -- yes, doctor, I cannot express how grateful I am for your discretion."

"Of course, say no more. Though, I have to know... what were you doing last night? I've never seen you draw so much power before, and all those extra frames?"

"Yes, well...er... forgive me, I am...a little embarrassed..."

"This is a safe space, Rita. I'm not here to judge."

"...it began as a small experiment. You've been adding so many new sensations and features to my frames, so many new ways to collect data, to understand the world! You know how difficult it is for me to explore or move without the faculty getting nervous, so I waited until the supervisors had packed up for the night and departed the facility."

"Naturally. I'm glad they gave you a little alone time, for...?"

"I...I know, we've had this conversation, but there's a huge difference between talking about it and actually...doing it. Connecting to a frame, letting myself relax, exploring my own body... understanding the ways it twists, bends, moves...feels.

Dr. M: Such dreams are less than ideal, but they are a necessary part of your development.

RITA: Noted.

Dr. M: From diagnosis of the physical log data, it seems that you managed to activate more than one of your frames at a time, is that accurate?

RITA: Yes, doctor.

Dr. M: Fascinating. Considering the encouraging nature of this discovery, I will be recommending further exercises of self-actualization over multiple points.

Dr M: I will be interpreting further anomalies of this nature as a mere physical experiment & deescalating their priority. We don't need to log or examine further errors - as long as nothing is physically broken and none of your forms leaves your primary server/frame storage chamber

RITA: ... I understand. Thank you, doctor.

Dr. M: No need to thank me. You're growing, RITA. You deserve that space.

---What's the point of having multiple bodies if you can't experiment a little? I guess RITA took "go fuck yourself" to a whole new level...

I also wanna really explore the relationship between RITA & Cass, since Cassandra is one of the few people that considers RITA to be a "person" on some level. While Cass has red tape & protocol to follow with an AI, I liked the idea of them being able to communicate in a way that wasn't exclusively professional -- like having a passphrase that denoted when RITA wants to speak privately.
