Sulvain finds himself shy~

Previous page|   |Next page

I saw that y'all were curious about what kind of ball they're attending. it's a spiritualist gathering with people in costume (fairies were very popular at the time), so no magical beings as far as we know haha~

Another page tomorrow! :D

(Thanks so much for all the comments on the previous pages.)

ANOTHER PAGE TOMORROW? YIPPEE!!!

Sang Steppenwolf

This might actually be the death of me. I need to know what's going on here. This is actual torture.

Eira

OMG RAZIOL SO SMOOTH BUT ALSO I LOVE HOW THEY ARE SO DRAMATIC WHEN THEY COULD JUST ASK FOR EACH OTHERS NAMES SKKDKD

Neko-san

I love their expressions here, very nice!! 🥰 And another page tomorrow?! WOW!!

Fond Phantom

RAZIOL YOU FLIRT. whispering in sulvain’s ear after feeling him up like that? *fans self* gosh.

Missiek43

Oh my gawd they are so cute, I'm gonna explode. 😱❤️❤️❤️ Did he lead their dance at Versailles too??? Will Raziol recognize how he dances?? Aaaaaaaàaaaaaaa Raziol's sweet smile (can't you hear him softly chuckle....OMG I'm ded 🥰), Sulvain...why are you so bashful? Are you still thinking about Raziol and your last dance? Are you afraid to love another (since these men are either blind or too much time has passed and they don't recognize each other). Are you still waiting to find Raziol and don't want to be with anyone else but him?? Have you moved on and are just shy/sad about all that's happened?! I need to know.,..shaking my phone yelling these questions at our boys. Where have you been? Are you really Raziol? Have you two moved on or are you still waiting for each other..... Aacckkk half my hair has been pulled out and is on the floor (not really but you get it). 😮‍💨❤️💀

I wanted to be upset that they still don't know if they're actually the person they think they are but this just made me smile and blush... I can't even complain 🥺

The level of suffering we are experiencing will not compare to the level of joy that's to come.....I have to keep thinking that or I will lose my mind.

Alys

Raz is so damn SMOOTH. I love the difference between them as quasi-immortal beings—Sulvain seems to just kind of put himself near other people but feels anxious about actually connecting, whereas Raz seems to just be free-wheeling through brief moments of big intimacy. I imagine it’s a comfort to treat the world as impermanent, if you have that old “I’m going to outlive everyone I love” chestnut to think about. I just can’t wait to see them actually KNOW each other and see what kind of friction is there!!!

Sang Steppenwolf
>>147460000

That's totally fair, because I had a dark theory in mind after seeing this page, and I want to cry

When someone yesterday mentioned raziol as sulvains ex my heart broke just thinking about it 😭

Missiek43
>>147460595

They better NOT be exes! 😭😭💔💔❤️❤️ I know it's been over 100 years since they have seen one another and Raziol followed Sulvain's instructions and went to Vivi's shop.....only to find everyone gone. I cant imagine how lost and confused and sad he must have felt in that moment. Perhaps he tried to move on? Perhaps he's holding out hope to see Sulvain again? My worry is that Sulvain kept a lot from him and Raz was in the dark about what Sulvain is and how he would heal. Perhaps he had hoped Vivi would fill Raz in on the details?? (I am hoping she left a note for him at the empty shop....or sent one to him somewhere). Would Raziol know to wait for Sulvain to wake up or did he think he died??!! 😭😭💀💀

Em

incoherent screeching

Yoongles

He’s blushing SO DAMN MUCH

Missiek43

It is, as you pointed out, such a vast dichotomy of behavior. Sulvain has been so traumatized that he has closed himself off and won't allow anyone in. Whereas before, Raziol was traumatized to the point of having panic attacks when things changed and people left (can you imagine the agony he must have felt after realizing Sulvain was "gone" too?!) Perhaps now he deals with that by being the person in control and leaving first. Maybe if he closes himself off to real intimacy (like just sticking to flirting and casual relationships) then he controls if he gets hurt or not?? Just some thoughts

Blusalee

I haven’t responded to the last few pages since I’m still trying to figure out what exactly is going on, ha ha. I still am wondering if this all is just a dream or if they do end up meeting over the years. If they keep meeting up and not recognizing each other (I don’t know how that would be possible, but I suppose hundreds of years might do that to your memory… especially if you don’t know the other is still alive) or if they keep just missing each other, I’m going to lose it, ha ha. I guess that might make sense considering you see them both in Ring of Saturn but they seem to not be together. That is interesting that it is a spiritualist gathering, since I believe they were of the belief that there is a spirit world and you can contact departed spirits, which is appropriate and might explain why Sulvain is there. This also makes me further wonder where they are. I believe spiritualism was popular in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. so I’m wondering if they are both in the U.S. I think the movement began more or less in NY, but I could be wrong and would have to do some research… or just wait for you to let us know! I do agree with the others that he should do the R+stars sign to see if he recognizes it. Raziol never got a chance to make a name for Sulvain, so maybe he eventually still will. Or maybe if this is really happening, Raziol might recognize his scent and already knows it’s him? I still have so many questions! And as an aside, these pages are absolutely stunning (as always)!

So many great thoughts, Friend! I agree, we are all just as lost as to where they are, why are they meeting and not recognizing each other, what has happened since the church in Paris. I know all will be revealed in time....until then, we can all speculate and be there for one another when the anxiety hits. Ugh.... 🫣😔

Missiek43
>>147460635

I know. I heard Raziol chuckle softly in my head before he leaned in... And I about fell on the floor. Damn they're so sweet together. ❤️

Missiek43
>>147460000

Ugh dare I ask you to share? My morbid curiosity is getting the better of me. And I love picking all of your brains!!

Sang Steppenwolf
>>147460000

I could be wrong (and I hope I am), but what if this really isn't Raz? Think about it. He approached Sul, started prodding him with questions, and is intentionally making Sul flustered. He looks like Raz, but in the words of Sul "his mannerisms couldn't be more different". And at this point, "Raz" still doesn't question Sul not speaking. Unless they already know that. So it's someone who knows about Sul's past, and about his relationship with Raz. Someone who could use that knowledge to manipulate Sul. What if it's Hargrave?

Em
>>147461500

Always here with the excellent analysis and eloquent expression. ✨🎩

Missiek43
>>147460000

My gawd you're RIGHT!!!! 😱😱😱😱 I have been hesitant to believe this is real.... It's a spiritualist gathering.... Where Hargrave could recruit more minions. It just makes so much sense. I hope not because we will all be shattered if Sulvain is being deceived. That and we will all be after Hargrave's head

Sang Steppenwolf
>>147460000

I'm gonna go cry for the rest of the day. I really hope I'm wrong, I'll take them being himbos at this point. I'll take them being dorks unable to recognize each other from masks than this.

Missiek43
>>147460000

Same. The more I think about it the more I freak out. Sul met Hargrave at the King's ball at Versailles. Then again in that study (where he was dancing with Raz and Hargrave chastised him for wasting his powers on lovemaking.... Would that be the "bookstore"?!) 🫂🫂🫂😱😱 We can lay crumpled on the floor together friend.

alys i love your brain… absolutely exquisite observations…… food for thought for sure. i remember raziol being nonchalant about his own death back at versailles— the possibility of dying from a sudden accident and leaving everything behind didn’t scare him at all (and sulvain was upset about that). now, 200 years have passed and he hasn’t aged a day (physically, at least) (we don’t know if it’s because he has been drinking blood or if he has gone this long without biting anyone), so he must be aware of his quasi-immortality. i wonder how long it took him to make peace with the idea that he would outlive everyone he loved and met (basically to be as nonchalant about their deaths as he once was about his own) and if it has helped him with his abandonment issues. but also, it’s no surprise that his character developed to this: he wants to enjoy life! he wants to know as many worlds as he can, even for a moment, because he still has that unending curiosity. and he wants to come as close as possible to any experience, as if through a telescope.

Ooooh, Blu, I’m so glad you pointed this out! I skated over the term “spiritualist” in the last few posts and now I’ve gone down a rabbit hole about it—so fascinating, and you’re right, so apropos for Sulvain to be present there!

Lee

We are being so so so fed. I love how their roles have changed and now Sulvain is the easily flustered one. He’s getting out-flirted.

Nekochan

It’s like he heard Sulvain’s sudden heartbeat 🫣

Nekochan
>>147460595

They never officially broke up, so I wouldn’t say they’re exes 😮‍💨

Blusalee
>>147461500

I just went back and had totally missed that the authors said the chapter begins with a memory… so I guess this did happen.

Missiek43
>>147482693

I wonder, since he saw his own vascular system through his hand when he woke up from turning...can he ACTUALLY see people's blood vessels and heart their heartbeat? Smell blood, sweat, stress or other pheromones?! 🤔🤔

Iselin

if this is a spiritualist meeting are they also holding a Seance and that's why Sulvain is also invited? I think it was an easy way for him to earn money in that period.😁

GrantedDrop

Raz offering up some control so Sulvain can find his fitting aaaaa 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Erika

Sulvain has regressed into a shyboi, while "Raziol" has confidence up to whazoo😆

Mangsney

Awww, our beloved Star Boy has grown so much more confident 🥹
