Kendra

i want to love this man so much because he's so pretty but sir that is raziol's husband i'm gonna need you to unhand him

Nekochan

This seems like it was the moment Sherwin knew he drew up a hard memory for Sulvain 🥺

Lee

I JUST KNEW HE HAD A CRUSH ON HIM omg. Poor him. He’s gonna be so sad when Raz comes around. I hope he doesn’t become a villain.

Sang Steppenwolf

HEY NOW! WHAT THE SAM HILL ARE YOU DOING SHERWIN? YOU ASKING TO CATCH THESE HANDS??? Ooooh, he a bold one! But at the same time, a few days and Sul can read the letters! That's good, right? It's not gonna reveal absolutely devastating information, right? ... Right?

Bubbles

STOPPP someone go get Raz RIGHT NOWWW

Lee

I want him to want sulvain to be happy, and not to steal him away. I want him to love Sulvain enough to care for what he wants.

Kendra

also i just want to compliment you both on how amazingly you convey this story through colors. it seems like a small detail but the comparison of the warmth in sherwin's skin tone to sulvain's, the lighting in the scene, everything-- you are so so amazing & i love all the effort & detail you include in your works!!!!

Lunar

Oooooohhhhh~ It's like THAT, huh, Sherwin? 😏 In all seriousness, I feel bad for Sherwin if what I'm thinking is true, but it is nice how they're trying to help Sulvain. I'm thinking waaay too far ahead but I hope Sherwin finds their person! I have a question, though, and maybe it's a stupid one. 😅 But I've always wondered if it's common in the Novae universe for many people to know sign language? Many people seem to understand Sulvain and it's something I've always wondered but was too shy to ask. And my apologies if this was answered a long time ago or if I missed it in the comic. 😅

Iselin

I'm still waiting for this scene to end with a kiss 😁 but eitherway Sherwin heart will be broken 💔. Hm ..maybe this is how he will meet Raz again... searching for Vivi.

Great question ✨So far in the story, only the people Sulvain has known for a long time know sign language. For most people he encounters he writes what he's saying in his notebook. 😁

Iselin
>>150207655

Oh, I thought the same...is the same gesture Sulvain has done to Raz last time when they saw each other 💔

JMM

No! No lingering touches, he may be cute but Raziol is out there still!

Livi

Aaaaaaaaaaaaa Sherwin touched his face.

Livi

This is what Sherwin means when he tells Sulvain about not being able to see the present. Ah dear

Livi
>>150207609

It’s gonna be a tough unrequited love situation maybe aaaa

Missiek43
>>150207755

How did I just read your comment in a thick Texas accent?! 🤣🤣 "what in tarnation?!" Pppfffftttt 😆

Missiek43
>>150207668

Hmmmm we don't know Sherwin well enough yet, but I'm already sensing his heart is going to be broken. And if he loves Sulvain and is doing all this work to help him, then it's going to hurt him so badly when Sulvain sees Raziol again. Even if Sulvain doesn't go back to Raz right away, Sherwin knows how much he means to Sulvain.

Sang Steppenwolf
>>150207755

I mean, I lived there for three years, so it works XD But you'd be better off with the Southern accent for reference. The audacity of Indianna Sherwin Jones brought out the drawl in me X'DDD But in all seriousness, Sherwin seems like a cool dude so far. I do feel bad for the heartache he'll experience when Sul reunites with Raz, and hope he finds someone who can love him back without turning into a villain.

Missiek43
>>150207609

Will Sherwin fight back to keep his love? Knowing how much pain Sulvain has been in thinking of Raziol? Will he try to keep them apart because he sees their relationship as toxic??

Missiek43

Guys.....Sulvain didn't pull away at his touch. He looks despondent yes, but he allowed Sherwin 's hand to linger until Sherwin pulled away. Perhaps Sulvain has been alone and touch deprived and needs to be comforted?? Perhaps Sherwin loves him and is desperate to provide that comfort for him. But he knows, deep down, that Sulvain will always love Raziol?! 😱 And as much as I want Sulvain and Raziol back together....and literally gasped when Sherwin touched him....is it such an awful thing for Sulvain to have someone that loves him? (Forgive me for I have sinned.... Suliol (Razvain?) forever!!!)

Blusalee

Ahh, how did I miss the last couple of pages?!? First, I’m fascinated by the notes Vivi left Sulvain and want to know what they say, though I can’t help but wonder why she left him such messages, and one encrypted cypher apparently, but left nothing for Raziol. She knew he was out there and could have left something hidden for him to find for whenever he came back that was encoded based on astronomy or something, about where Sulvain was. Maybe something hidden with some of his herbs so he would smell it? I don’t know- just a thought. Also, that’s so funny about the glass coffin. Just the family’s heirloom mostly-dead guy in the basement, passed down through generations. They just walk around him to get stuff in the basement. That’s also sweet that the girl was bringing him flowers. It’s a good thing it wasn’t locked or that would have been quite startling, I bet… It’s a good thing nobody ever broke in or anything… I wonder if that embalmer’s family were menders. It also looks like either Vivi or the embalmer put his pin on the necklace. They must not have touched it directly to do so. And this relationship between Sulvain and Sherwin gets more and more interesting…

Iselin
>>150212201

Actually I agree with you. It was heartbreaking to see Sulvain only searching Raz in others, his past encounters look so hollow from this perspective. Sherwin seems like a very good friend so I don't know if Sulvain will want to go further and ruin their friendship.

Fond Phantom

i just crackled out loud in public. kaiju you masterminds.

Taylor
>>150209655

Oh my god my heart just shattered 🥲 I’m so rooting for Sherwin’s happiness

Livi
>>150212534

Braving the waves of nausea to turn the pin into a pendant

Livi
>>150212534

I’m with ya with all the things to wonder. Apparently Vivi only left notes for a year? What the dink happened back then

Alys

I’m in Europe right now so these pages come in at like three am, and it’s great cuz they wake me RIGHT up first thing in the morning. So excited. Sherwin!! Shoot your shot! But do it fast because I have a feeling there’s an astronomy prof somewhere on campus that’s gonna be big competition 👀 Also—intriguing that Sulvain’s first assumption about Vivi is that she isn’t simply dead after all this time. Maybe he was a bit more clued in to her research than we’ve seen onscreen, or maybe he DOES assume she’s dead, he only hopes there’s still time to deal with whatever she urgently needed to tell him about. Which is what I love about Sulvain, because after three hundred years, damn that’s optimistic.

It could also be a more platonic gesture. Even now there is a category of gay men who are this overtly tactile, at least in private. This post dates the Stonewall riots, if even only shortly, so it wouldn't be as taboo as it would've been the previous decade to express care for a friend who bats for the same team in this manner. Also using Patron's comments section on a mobile browser is 31 flavors of Hell.

Jamie
>>150212201

No, wait. I didn't notice how loaded his expression was in that last frame. Definitely not platonic, or at least Sherwin's feelings aren't strictly so

Missiek43
>>150212201

Also, right before Sherwin came, Sulvain was asking himself why he was seeing and seeking out Raziol in stranger's faces....perhaps his is staring to lose hope...or perhaps he is trying to convince himself to move on. Maybe that's why he is receptive (somewhat) to Sherwin 's touch.

Alys
>>150212201

I’m echoing that I’m super curious about the Sherwin of it all!! He’s evidently known and worked within Sulvain’s circle of trust for years looking for this cipher—is this touch an indicator that something’s been going on between them for a while? Or if it’s the first, what made Sherwin choose this moment to let Sulvain know where he stands? I have to imagine it has something to do with getting close to the end of their decoding quest—Sherwin might be thinking that once Sulvain can put the letter and all it contains to rest, he can also put his attachment to Raz aside.

Missiek43

You're in Europe?! Where? I miss it and am hoping to go to France next summer with my college.

Oh you’ll have such a ball!! I’ve spent a bit of time in Paris, but I’ve always wanted to explore the rest of France. There are some unmissable ruins and museums off the normal tourist’s track!

Stolby
>>150212201

Sulvain accepting that hand touch like a lizard under a sun lamp. "Ooh! Warm!"

LostGallifreyan

That's right, Sure-lose, hands off our Starboi's man! (Actually, I'm kinda sorry for him, because he knows he doesn't have a chance, but it's hard not to hope when your competition hasn't shown in literal decades. I hope Sherwin finds someone for himself!)

LostGallifreyan
>>150212534

Vivi could have left Raziol some clues, but he did purposely disappear, and she wouldn't have known whether he could ever be trusted with his new powers, considering they didn't know of any other survivors of the bite. So, she may have made the executive decision to leave him out and let fate work as it would.

DRAMAAAAAAAAA ✨

Sherwin, unrequited love lies that way.
