Did you ever see the Jonni Future comic by Art Adams? Your Barbarella kind of reminds me of that and that's high praise.

Hey, really nice to see something from you again! Love the poster-like feel of this picture. Barbarella is one of those classic movies I really should have seen by now but haven't taken the time for. Last time I was at the local used movie/music store I noticed they had a copy so maybe I'll pick it up next time I'm stopping by and finally give it a watch.

Thanks! And yeah, Jonni Future is kinda a mix of Adam Strange + Barbarella, in a good way. A pity there was not much more done with the character.

I wonder sometimes if it is not the sort of thing you had to be there at the proper time to "get it" because things do get dated fast, but I do think it has a particular charm that does come thru the cheesyness. And that is something that is actually an interesting parallel between the nature of the movie and the lead character herself, where there is peculiar balance between naivete/innocence and kinky eroticism.
