Clothes Encounters of the Burbled Kind (Patreon)

I've been drawing underwater scenes since I was a kid, and I got my inspiration from everywhere. Like for instance, a Nordstrom ad in the December 1996 issue of Nickelodeon Magazine, which I read when I was ten, featured a bunch of kids modeling the new winter fashions against aqua-colored backdrops with ocean-themed props - fishing nets, dive masks, desiccated starfish corpses, etc. Kid me naturally thought "This'd be more fun if they were actually underwater", and I redrew the whole ad accordingly, with the meager art skills I had at that age.

Thirty years later, that drawing is long gone, but I still have a complete Nickelodeon Magazine collection, 'cuz I'm a nostalgic nerd like that. And so I dug out December '96 and remade that old piece of mine, this time casting Eric and Jenny in the starring roles. They're a little bit older here, as they will be in the comic itself once December 1996 rolls around, but they haven't lost their passion for doing goofy stuff underwater together!
