I like to think as the plot kicks off, Solomon tries to join Virtue during his workouts. When you're getting in fights with robotic dieties and their lackeys, it's really important to keep your physical stats up. Unfortunately, Solomon isn't the athletic type, and being a touch starved older gent, seeing someone as yoked as Virtue all sweaty and dripping can be a potent distraction.
