Experimenting on new rendering method, emphasize on value and shape before adding colors... all in all I just bad in color scheme..

I'm more partial to Left, but that may be because I like blockier shapes and slightly more abstracted anatomy? It has less volume, I think? But stylistically, I think it has better shapes? I may also just be beard biased.

I like them both. I suspect the right would look better in color since the grays are softer. I like the one on the left for the harsher lighting. It feels like he's outside in really strong sunlight.

Right. The use of shading is more balanced. The image on the left looks like the light is above him and the shadow on his neck from his jaw is distracting from the whole. Regardless, these are incredible works of art.

I, personally, prefer the harder shading associated with the left picture.

Left :) more contrasted and with a more specific “style”, a little less realistic in a way. In anyway both are really good looking !
