Some people say beards are like makeup for men.

Do you agree?

Makeup? No, but if they are done right they make a face much more attractive. It’s nice to see younger versions of John (Daddy) with scruff and a ‘stache 🍆

Jon Thomas 71

I would say yes for the exact reason Adam mentions. That is, after all, the purpose of make-up, and when it's done right it can make a face more attractive or the opposite if done poorly. Same with a beard.

When a man can shape his beard with the right proportions for his face/head, it can be deeply masculinizing and add tons of sex appeal.

BCXVI

Certainly. I’m 32 and still waiting to look older :v

^ Yes to all of the above, especially with R's addition: when it's a nice looking beard, and not something scraggly-looking, there's a lot of potential 😘

Albron

I totally agree!! :-)

He’s an alpha-MAN regardless of the look, goddamn!

I have always found the absence of your subject's upper lip to be very erotic.

It certainly helps create a different personalities depending on how you wear it, so yes, facial hair is a man's make up.

Stephen

This reminds me of the characters I create playing "Skyrim." They're always hunky guys who look basically the same, but changing the hair, beards, and colors makes them seem different. Bravo!

Craig West

Nature gave men beards. Some choose to cut them off. No comparison with makeup.

I think the bald head in the first two pic's made Senior look a bit like a thug. wondering how he looks with the same hair as we are used, but then not greyed yet. btw it is more of a habit for men who grow bald and grey to shave it all off then the reserve. can you do the version of full head of non-grey hair too?

Sen

Mmmm sexy faces. And no, people don't say hair is make-up, so why should beards be?

Zach

Yes, definitely. Beards cover odd shapes, reshape contours, add texture, hide wrinkles.

Burnand Nicolas

In a way yes. It give an other aspect to the face. Now that mine will no longer grow, I realize the difference.

Abhishek

They are all stunning. Would love to see the first two in full scale artworks also.

Beards CAN be sexy. My caveat is that I loathe Garibaldi Bandholz beards (or the "you look like Abraham Lincoln" beard, as I call it). That much facial hair distracts from a person's lips, which express emotion (independent of the words hurled out from them) and eyes 👀 (also express emotion) and if a group of men have similar hair color and body shape/build), they start to blur into one.
