Once Sol was sure that he had Ambrosia’s help, he immediately made clear what his plan was.

He only had one task for Ambrosia.

“What I need you to do is simple. Just nothing. Stand there and look pretty. This will be more than enough.”

Not many people knew who Ambrosia was. But those people were worthless in the first place. He did not need to worry about them.

It was those who could recognize her that he had to be wary of.

“I initially wished to keep our force hidden for some time. You know, acting like a pig to eat the tiger and all that jazz. But people keep pissing me off. This made me realize, I hate being underestimated.”

Playing the weak to catch someone off guard was certainly a good plan. But Sol realized after the war against Wratharis that he hated this.

“So this time, I will make it clear. Since all the representatives are coming, I will use this occasion to showcase our full military might to the world.”

No more holding back. No more hiding. He would simply make sure everyone understood that they should not mess with him.

As for the angels? Fuck those pigeons. Better, he was going to fuck them up.

“You seem to have a lot of pent-up anger,” Ambrosia remarked amusedly.

“I am just tired. I also decided that I might need to change my approach when it comes to world conquest.” Sol's cloak fluttered as he said this.

Ambrosia noted that there was no wind picking up. Which would mean he was using mana to make his cloak flutter. But she wisely decided not to comment. Sometimes, Sol and Kali would act crazy like this. It was better to just smile and say nothing while they went at it.

“Your reactions are boring.” Since he got no reactions from Ambrosia, Sol stopped moving his cap in the wind. It was quite tough. Something to keep for later.

“More seriously. While I understand why you wish to show more power, I believe your policy of hiding has been useful until now. A cornered rat will bite. As long as your enemies still believe they have a chance to win, they will not go fully crazy. But what do you think their reactions will be if you show them they have no hope? Do you believe they will just give up?”

“No. I know very well how far desperate people can go when there is no more hope. I also know that my greatest strength and also my greatest weakness is time. As long as I have enough time, I will be able to grow far beyond anything they could guess. But you see. I am growing faster than anyone could guess. Even myself.”

Sol gave a faint smile filled with confidence.

“The me at this very instant is already stronger than the me of a few seconds ago and will be weaker than the me in a few minutes. Every second, I grow stronger. In fact, I feel like that, if I so desired, I could become a demigod in a few days. I have devoured enough power from Asura and Hypnos' projection to make this possible.”

“But you will not.”

“Indeed. I will not. As always, simply climbing in rank is useless. I need to fortify my foundation and reach the most perfect result possible. The rank of demigod cannot satisfy my ambition. Nor would the rank of a false god.”

Sol needed to become a god. More so, a god at the level of the two Mother Goddesses and even beyond, if possible.

“So this is the goal you set for yourself,” Ambrosia mumbled to herself. Now that she knew Sol’s true identity, she could better understand the horizons he was looking at. She also realized that her ambitions might have been lacking.

In the past, she might have rushed forward to reach the summit, using everything at her disposal with no hesitation. Her ultimate goal had been to reach the prized and lofty rank of God and stand in the sky above all.

But as the years went by and the barrier stopping her from becoming a god never stopped hindering her, she found herself doubting more and more, and in this world, doubt led to stagnation and even regression.

She was still not fully a false god. Much less a true God. She could reach a power level similar if she used her all but there was a limits to such thing.

Meanwhile, Anubis, once her companion, was now far above her, and yet, he too was blocked by the wall separating mortal from godhood.

Perhaps this was why her drive took another hit. After all, if even Anubis could not become a God. Who could?

She then witnessed Echidna slowly destroy her own mind and body for a goal with no end in sight, only to die in the most pitiful way possible.

Why even obsess with obtaining godhood? She was one of the most powerful beings in the universe. The number of people who were truly superior to her was so small in the grand scheme of thing that it did not even matter. Even more so since those who surpassed her were allies for the most part.

Time was truly the greatest equalizer.

Her drive died out. Her thirst for knowledge as well. She thought she knew everything there was to know.

Unknowingly, by knowing too much about the law of the world, she created limitations on her own self.

This was a world where ascending to godhood was impossible. She thought.

It was a world where Fate and Destiny could not be challenged. She concluded.

It was a world where struggles were all worthless. She despaired.

Even after Echidna and Anubis started working on the 12 chakras and evena  possible path to godhood. She simply stood on the side. It was hard to reignite the passion that once burned in her heart.

But now…

Ambrosia smiled, adjusting her white witch hat to hide her expression.

“Very well. Sol Dragona Luxuria. I will act as your pawn in this operation of yours. I will also become your teacher if you so desire. In exchange…”

“In exchange?”

“Show me that there is indeed nothing truly impossible in this world. Allow me to witness a new path for Magic and finally…Bring happiness to my beloved daughters.”

“I will.”

There was no need to hesitate. He already planned to do so after all.

This is so neat. It's something I've wanted for Sol for a long time now. For Sol to learn magic and master its field will definitely be an enjoyable read for us because while being a brawler is nice, you have to admit it's more fun to have a wide arsenal of techniques and spells that you can actually effectively use in a fight and not just overpowered moves. This is even more true in Sol's case who gets a pretty substantial penalty from using his true name to its realest potential.

Loki
