As she watched Ornis' body fade away like dust, Hasegawa couldn't help but feel deeply relieved.
Out of the Ten Gods, only three, including her, came to the DxD universe. Meanwhile, Ornis was a low-level spirit god that had always been interested in her and was added to the group later on.
Back then, she had judged that he would be somewhat useful. Hence, she had accepted to close one eye despite how disgusting she found him.
She would have never thought that he would become such a liability. If Basara hadn't entered Berserk mode, perhaps she would have lost him forever right now.
Just thinking about it made her shiver in fear and despair. Basara represented too much for her, so much that she couldn't even stand the mere thought of losing him.
'Now, the only ones who should know about Basara's true nature are Sheila and Ajuka, as well as Lucia.'
Ornis was dead and Reginleif [1] was missing and most likely dead.
'Hah, now that I think about it, this mission in DxD is really a catastrophe.'
Four gods came and now she was the only one still moving around.
In terms of power, at their peak, the Ten gods were equal or perhaps even superior to the top ten most powerful beings in DxD. [2]
Of course, hopefully, if Jin and Sapphire succeeded in their endeavor, there were chances of finding Her.
Raphaeline… Basara's surrogate mother, the one responsible for his Divine bloodline.
Releasing a sigh, Hasegawa turned around to take a look at how Basara was doing…
But then…
"Hah…"
She could see Basara lying down with his eyes wide open, silently gazing at her with indifferent eyes.
"Since when did you wake up?"
"Since you released your true power and erased him."
"....."
"...."
An awkward silence settled as the two blankly looked at each other.
They could clearly see the complicated emotions present in the eyes of the other and they knew that their relationship was at a very important threshold.
Hasegawa more than anything could feel it much more keenly.
If she tried to lie to him again or do anything of the sort, no matter what the reason may be, he would most likely never trust her again.
For Hasegawa losing his trust would be no different from a death sentence.
Finally, Hasegawa broke the heavy silence…
"What do you want to know?"
*Shrug*
"How much are you willing to tell me?"
"...."
"...."
Hasegawa shook her head with a wry smile.
"Thankfully, I have already placed a space-time barrier. We will have more than enough time to speak."
Basara looked up, curiosity evident on his face…
"The time ratio is currently pretty low. A few hours here will only be equal to a few minutes outside. I can do better with enough time but this will do for now."
Basara was immediately speechless about how she spoke as if this time ratio was utterly negligible.
He had heard about space manipulation and in a way, his power of gravity allowed him to affect time and space too, albeit passively.
But this was a completely different level. Directly affecting time and changing it as she wished.
This was indeed the kind of power befitting a god.
Hasegawa nodded to herself, "First things first, you don't have to worry about Asia, I have already taken care of them and put them to sleep in the infirmary. I also covered the entire school with my barrier so that we have enough time to put everything back into place."
Hasegawa's power didn't just stop at some low-level mind control. It went to a much higher level. Far higher than what a mere Ornis was capable of.
Manipulating the memories of all those involved was extremely easy for a being of her level.
She had already wiped out the memory of Basara's Berserker mode when he broke the barrier set by Ornis. It was a necessity to have his true power and origins hidden for as long as possible.
Until he was at least able to defend himself from people at the Satan level.
Otherwise, if it was known that Basara's power could erase souls and sever the origin of existence itself, the first ones who would attack him would be the gods of this world.
'Speaking about the gods, I really need to discuss it with Michael and Gabriel.'
Basara had already killed two Fallen angels and an exorcist. She doubted they would find out but Raphaeline did have some good relationship with the Angels.
Ideally, Hasegawa would have loved to wipe out the entire incident from everyone's minds. But the blue-haired exorcist was a variable that could damper her plans since she already left a message by using spirits.
Furthermore, this event had been beneficial for Asia's mental growth and she didn't want to tamper with her mind without Basara's permission.
Hasegawa didn't keep those thoughts to herself and explained the situation to Basara.
He was happy to know Asia was safe and, though the information about a blue-haired exorcist was intriguing, he wasn't much interested in that.
"I think you have stalled enough, right?"
"Hah… Indeed, I have."
She smiled slightly. Since Basara could joke around, it meant their relationship was still salvageable.
This made her extremely happy inside. Looking up at the sky, she began to reminisce about the bitter past.
"Before we begin, I must tell you that much of what I am about to say are things I have heard from Jin. I was not present most of the time and so there is a lot of information I do not have."
"It's alright, I perfectly understand."
"Well then…" She took a deep breath and exhaled quietly. "The first thing you need to know is that… I am your Aunt."
Basara's eyes widened. It was clear that this discussion would be something that would shock him greatly.
At the same time, he couldn't help but wonder why out of the three people he had a sexual relationship with, two were related to him.
But Hasegawa wasn't finished, "The second thing you need to know is that we are not from this universe."
Basara tilted his head in bewilderment, "So I am an alien now?"
"This…"
It was Hasegawa's turn to be silent.
"Huh…."
She was shocked to realize that this was a pretty apt description.
Like this, the discussion between the two began with them being left speechless by the revelation they gave to each other.

[1]: A god introduced in vol 10 or so. Though heh. What happened to him was funny.
[2]: Author of DxD introduced Bullshit scaling in Shin DxD around vol 3 or 4 if I remember well. Like bruh. The story had always been BS but those dudes from ExE took the bullshit to another level.
(AN: Time for some revelation. I am sorry to stop here but I need to think about how to explain everything since this isn't just Shinmai but Shinmai in DxD. So some terms and events will have to be tweaked a little. Mainly because of the difference in the timeline for the war. In the two worlds.)
