I could give an account of what has developed with Steam, but it would be equally effective to shake my fist at the heavens and shout "Steeeeeam!" Will DoW be allowed to launch next weekend? I don't know, we can only hope. At least the problem seems to be a bug and bad customer service on their end, not censorship.

Meanwhile, I finished up the story I mentioned earlier. This is a bit of an odd one, I don't think it's for everyone, but if you want a bunch of words written by me, read them here:

This is just a one-off: it connects to nothing and leads to nothing. Was stress-relieving to write, though, so I hope some other people get enjoyment from it.

Also, a fairly big Twitch streamer played Crimson Gray and is now uploading segments of it. Based on referral data, it has led to some new sales. I don't think I ever contacted this guy, so it's a lucky break. I'll link the videos below - give me clicks in the hopes that it gives the videos more visibility. =P

This Steam business is bad for ongoing development, but I'm trying to stay productive! Thanks again to everyone for your support, and you should be seeing the fruits of my labor in time.

Oh neat, haven't watched Ken in a while but he can be very entertaining when he gets into the right mindset to enjoy a game. Might check those vods later. Hope he liked it!

One of the joys of running a digital monopsony on a product with tiny unit prices in the modern age is the necessity of delegating most of your customer service to artificial idiocy. Try and look at it this way. If they had a human being going over your product in depth, their percentage of each game sale would be that much higher.

I used to do lp-Esq things for /aco/. First one I ever did was shitposting screenshots from tls with captions on 4chan. Then I moved to hosting the images on imgur and just posting a link once a week. Good times. I quite enjoyed "Gentle Violence"! It's rather dark, but sexy and sweet in it's own strange way. It definitely reminded me of Desecration of Wings. Putting the Love in Lovecraft there.

I'm curious: Was "Song of Saya" an influence when writing "Gentle Violence"?

Not consciously, though I do think highly of Song of Saya and so it's always possible. This story came from my thoughts on how I write emotion and a lot of exposure to different kinds of erotic fiction. But the original version of this concept I was considering wasn't even eldritch, though I feel this was a better fit.

Thanks, glad you liked it! I do not generally write many one-shots, as I need to put most of my energy toward central projects, but sometimes they're a nice change of pace.

I'm sure you're aware, but CinnimonToastKen has posted four further Crimson Gray videos. I've clicked but not watched as it's not really my thing. His beard IS quite impressive though.

For clarity, game streaming videos aren't my thing, not Crimson Gray. I've been saving it for a treat for myself later for strange reasons.

Glancing at them, it seems that he might have reached as far as he'll play. The series got quite a few more views than any other LP of the game and has seemed to correlate with increased attention, so that's all to the good. Hope you enjoy CG when you do play!
