Running late, so I'll just drop the blog link for the public release:

Expect an update post on Sunday.

Any comments on the changes between 0.45.1 and 0.45.2?

David Harper

Thanks for updating! It was great to see the results of my choices in the war (although I now regret putting the Tower as my last priority).

Feature request: could the investments/PRoN list be divided into region (Ari-Yhilana, Chalice States, etc) or type (Banks, Merchants, Stores, Temples, etc)? In the last two chapters the list has gotten so long that it is hard to actually tell what I've invested in. I've taken to keeping a list of my own, and that strikes me as being poor gameplay. Even better would be to have conversations with Megail have the option to ask her about investment opportunities, where she would recall options we didn't take that are still available (and who to talk to/where to find them). That would avoid a lot of unnecessary backtracking. I found myself going into every shop in the Chalice States, for example, trying to find the two investments I hadn't taken advantage of earlier.

sierralee

Just minor stuff. I wouldn't have put out another version at all if there hadn't been a bug.

Zyrus

This would probably be the best quality of life addition in the game to date.

sierralee

Having Megail recall investments would require a huge amount of eventing, but there's no major barrier to organizing the investment list aside from a bit of time commitment. Can't promise it, but you're not the only person to request such.

I've been giving the hot mess that is the ledger some thought, and I think a solution can be scripted analogous to the quests menu using a custom menu user interface. As TLS/RPG Maker scripting projects go, it's at the bottom of my list of things to procrastinate further, and the TLS script ideas are behind a lot of other procrastinated things on my list. As far as the RPG Maker idea list goes: 1. Fix the various Tile Swap bugs primarily affecting HQ. 2. Make a script that lists all the various overflows in ATS formatting to eliminate the tedious business of finding them on playthrough. 3. Try and arc weld Windows spell and grammar check into ATS formatting to make a similar output script to make Lamsey's life slightly easier. (Might not be practicable.) 4. Maybe come up with a non-MS Access based solution for my data dump script, finishing the last of the latter. (The big enemy list PDFs that only Lostone used so far as I know.) 5. Allow the player to give a custom name to HQ using a bit of sleight of hand by scripting using the player character naming function I think VX Ace includes. (May not be feasible.) 6. The above-mentioned ledger legerdemain. If there's a demand, I can try poking some of the existing custom menu scripts with a stick to get an idea how bad an idea this is.

Suggestion: Unless there's a horde of people wanting to put investing in the Merchant Camp pillar in their last Ch 4 round, it might make sense to lock the party out of the Feroholm region in the 0.45 content, since there's nothing else going on there.

sierralee

Though I'm potentially open to a scripted version of the ledger, I just put a bunch of effort into reorganizing it into regions.

sierralee

Reasonable suggestion, but it came a little too late to include in that version.

Just kinda thinking out loud over here...

Regarding #3, it seems like you could just do a regex replace or two on the _EventDialogue.txt and the result would be just as fit for opening in Word. Regarding #4, I know it's not just Lostone2, but also I think the list is just poorly advertised. I could put a link on the wiki homepage alongside the spreadsheets and JavaScript tools, unless you'd prefer to get it in a more polished state first.

Decanter

That investment does have decent RoI, though.

lostone2

You will be glad to know that I'm using it right now. ;)

Some Idiot

Sorry where do we report bugs again? just a small text bug

sierralee

Multiple places are fine, but generally comment bugs on the most recent post that isn't dedicated to something else. The last weekly update would have been fine, but here is okay too.

Some Idiot

embarrassingly, i deleted the picture accidentally. Sorry Sierra. It is a typo error in the chat between Grubbak and Orcent after the Voting session.

sierralee

No worries! It's a bit difficult for me to track down typos without an exact quote, but I'll keep my eye open when reviewing that section.

Trivial: Fulminato drew my attention to the Denmiel Archives investment, and for both the 250k and 150k prices in Ch4, Orilise's "not enough ProN" dialogue lists the necessary price as 100k.
