UPDATE:

I'm putting out another version, mostly because it's the thing to do, as there's not much critical. That chest is now accessible, a few minor bugs were fixed, and a tweak or two.

New Link: https://mega.nz/#!S5EEgS6Z!AWIjpr51ky7PA1FthlYVDHZRBG24y6lxvVfHDCeVEDs

The main reason I'm sending this out is because this will be the weekly update. Though there are several already complete things that should be available soon, there's not a lot to say right now. Back with the public release!

ORIGINAL POST:

Uh, surprise? There's been so much to talk about lately in the weekly updates, I haven't been mentioning it, but I've been working on TLS. Now is a good time for an update.

TLS 0.46.0

 - New section beginning the last chapter.

 - Seven new skills.

 - Investment list/ledger reorganized by region.

TLS 0.46.1

 - Minor touchup.

Not a lot of notes on this one. You'll get access to some brand new skills for some of the oldest characters - I'd always planned for them to access new skills later in the story, though I didn't realize how long it would feel after they got their base skills. These may need some tweaking, but I hope they shake things up a bit. Also, expect even more synergy skills to unlock later.

This is an average sized update to kick off the chapter. Once you finish, you'll understand how this leads into another segment, which in turn will lead into the major open world development. As this is just a convenient update point, I intend to keep rolling with more content as soon as I deal with whatever bugs come up.

But anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this update. ^-^

Belgaesh

I actually lost all my saves recently, so I will have to start from the beginning. Wish me luck.

Captain Hair

Ok! Download has started, Time to see the chapter start with Simon balls deep in the Mother while every nation gets hit with multiple Qum Bomb strikes! WOOOOOOOOOOORLD DOMINATIOOOOOOOOOON!

Andrew Hughes

Unexpected tls... Don't mind if i do

Trevor

Almost finished with my replay and this comes out. Somewhat suspicious. . .

Captain Hair

That finished faster than I expected. Prediction time! Hester is secretly Emperor Sheev Palpatine concocting a dastardly plot to take over the world. She's obviously using Annah as a scapegoat because she's another sexually repressed ass and thus the obvious main suspect in anything and everything suspicious. Also the King and High Priestesses of Aram are deeply offended their highly aggressive and invasion worthy attitudes are once again pushed into the background. I think this prediction avoids any spoilerific toes while being viable (Aside from the Palpatine thing).

Ripe

Interesting development. Like Simon said, it's about time we settle some scores we've been waiting for a long, long time. A relatively, minor bug: there is a chest before the final battle that is unreachable due to trees...

SerEaglenose

The talk of spies at the end did bring to mind one omission from the harem slightly less glaring than an architect, in that we never came across a spy master.

DukeLeto7

Well, that was a pretty short one. Lot to digest. (And if that one chest is really inaccessible then you are an utter sadist.)

WaxerRed

(Serious part of this message) Piercing whip doesn't seem to work, not showing up when Yarra and Varia are in the party together. (Less Serious part of the message) Partway through the update and I just have to comment something. SL you are great at foreshadowing and subtle hints to the future so I just have to ask...are you foreshadowing HIlstaria needs to go glasses shopping? Because I swear in combat the girl can't hit the broadside of a barn. Does AGI affect accuracy? I want to check her new attack but I gave up after she missed 3 times in a row. This might just be me picking up on patterns that aren't there but I swear I had similar terrible hit rates with her during the last war. Does anyone else who uses Hilstaria have such problems?

WaxerRed

Finished 0.46 seems like an interesting start to something new. Is there any chance you can copy and paste the training orcs into the end room? I think players might want to test those skills in a more stable environment. Also second bug with them. Uyae's new palm explosion is working as a synergy skill with Robin, despite not being listed as one.

Cannali

Okay I'm just going to do my play by play reaction here: First off love the soundtrack you picked for the new zone, new skills are always fun and i'm really liking the added versatility to each character. The new enemies are really cool design wise I'm very happy with them. I think I missed something though unless we're meant to go back later cause I couldn't get the chest blocked by the trees and also the 3rd book. Also the thing at the end gave me chills like geez some stuffs going down. All in all the update was really good and I'm really looking forward to this open world segment you've got planned.

StormyAngel

That was brief but fun. Possible bug report: when it first faded in to the training grounds scene, Simon was standing in the spot between the four of them, and then he warped in with Wendis later...so there were two of him. I had a moment where I thought maybe he'd been making tons of progress on that project to clone himself he'd been working on with Trin, but the way the dialogue was going it seems like that wasn't the intention.

Mycroft

I cannot see the art scene in the game ? are they not in the game yet ? are they not accessible in the memory ?

werewindle

Seems like Piercing Whip doesn't get enabled for me even with Varia in the party.

Q-Riff

Exploding Fist doesn't describe it needs synergy in the skill list. There's also a chest I can't seem to reach.

Lamsey

Things are getting tasty. I wonder if it's Tertia's shard we've just found... That seems too simple, though. It also seems like the Fake Goddess News war is hotting up. Looking forward to the epic boss fight against the Gilded Lily's owner, who turns out to have been Ivala all along. Also, "Woofy Head Lady" is perfect. I like the way that Ulrissa doesn't even bat an eyelid at it. Fight balance seems OK - these things hit hard, but are less tanky than some of our recent foes, which makes a nice change of pace and gives some other team members a chance to shine. I haven't played with all the new skills yet, but it looks like they'll help to round out some characters by addressing some of their limitations. Incubus Strike in particular looks like it'll become Simon's default attack for players who have the Incubus Glove to fuel it. I only noticed one potential typo not already reported - Pollon -> Pollen? https://www.dropbox.com/s/3f1qbp0g56c0lno/Screenshot%202019-10-05%2013.37.00.png?dl=0 Also, just found this in my screenshot folder; looks like I forgot to report it last time. "things that Incubus Emperor" -> "things that the Incubus Emperor": https://www.dropbox.com/s/3omi6myvtfx5gun/Screenshot%202019-09-13%2021.35.17.png?dl=0

Hell Satan

I haven't even played the last update T_T been stuck on OT...

Lamsey

Just remembered that I forgot to praise the Deepwilds music as an intriguing remix of the RTP scene2 theme, and noticed that it's in .wav format. This version shaves 14MB off the filesize, and also eliminates a minor clipping issue on loop (I only removed two samples, so not a significant edit): https://www.dropbox.com/s/f1myyp5y0q1j5qr/Deepwilds.ogg?dl=0

Fulminato

as usualy minute minuting minutae about the code. in the HQ courtyard scene if you don't have already upgraded Qum kiss skill it's missing the flip of the switch 2393 (Qum Kiss Upgrade) this will make appear the "normal" spark for upgrading qum kiss skill when the other condition will be meet

Innocuous

Just noticed a typo from an earlier section. In the post war scene, in the Fuklord's Palace where you can talk to all your harem members, Sarai has a line "Well, that fucking sucked. I tried to get the Church more involved the entire war and accomplished jack shit." There's a missing word there. Also, I'm not sure on the capitalization semantics, but during the Nalili infiltration section with the elves, one of the elves has a line "She says that nations are irrelevant. In the war to come, it will be goddesses against Incubus Kings." Should Goddesses be capitalized there? Great updates by the way.

WaxerRed

Dear Sierra Lee, Thank you for accepting my one off suggestion of making a hard hitting training orc and adding it in to game in literally the next update. I know it's a small but that's what is impressive about it. Near every game developer puts out bug fixes, but few would actually take the time to read through and actually implement even the smallest of suggestions from your audience. Most anyone AAA developer or indie, would say, "The game is perfectly playable "and put off the work that would probably appeal to less then a dozen of the customers. So thank you again for both your work ethic and the respect you put on your fans. You're one of the best!

WaxerRed

Less Sappy comment, you missed a opportunity to go full bastard woman and make that last chest in the deepwilds be filled with brooms. Would have caused several head explosion I'm sure.

SantaTheHutt

Is there a way to reach the windmill? It looks like it should be accessible, but I can't jump to its island.

Lord Forte Games

Finally got to playing this update... I wasn't happy with my war outcomes or being <100k ProN short of the ruins unlock, so I had to sit down and replay from the Synod since I sorta gave up last time after replaying the war once only to still be like 50k ProN short :X So, did the ruins for the first time. Not a bad section at all, wasn't too hard to figure out what did what. Though I will say, the mob pack with 5 on the teleporters was harder than the boss by a big margin for me XD On to this actual update... I liked those of the new skills I got around to trying, even if it's gonna bug me that the updated Little Death rearranges Qum's skill list, haha. I like Incubus Strike pretty well, and Aka's skill seemed solid. Healing Lance is also nice, especially with this section reminding me that existing healing output can't always quite keep up with incoming damage from hard hitting enemies. I liked the aesthetic, it was very unusual. Minor suggestion: If fighting the nodes is going to auto-end the section, maybe give it a confirmation? I had to redo the fight once because I thought maybe the last key book was behind them (turned out it was back at the start XD). Plot developments... Very interesting indeed. Hard to say much more than that yet, but it was definitely a good hook for the chapter. I'm sorta wondering how much of a red herring Annah is being used as, just since so recently redoing the synod, it really struck me how far she would ultimately bend on a lot of issues after applying consistent pressure, enough so that I think at worst she's being used as a front because why bend if her zeal was just faked anyway? I almost wonder if she'll end up being an unlikely ally against whoever did this. But then, I could definitely be wrong.

genericname12345

Oh, Sierra - at the start of Chap 4 a bunch of monsters around the world respawned. Will there be another cycle? I have no idea how relevant they even are, since Simon is at like Lv. 74 and I've sitting on a solid 125,000+ Sx, but since I'm about to head into the Big Money Dungeon I was curious if I ought to run around and kill monsters a bit. EDIT: And yes, I've been doing enough penny-pinching to make Megail proud my entire playthrough. It'll be satisfying to blow that cash all at once on a shopping spree.

DukeLeto7

I'm not getting access to Piercing Whip with Yarra and Varia in the same party. Not sure what's up with that.

WaxerRed

Thanks again for the end room orc to train with, here is some feedback. I realize that some of these results depends on Gear and party level so I'll try to keep it general. Yarra-Piercing whip I like it! Does a moderate amount of damage and the DEF debuff on enemies is nice, and can pair well for Varia to do even more op amounts of damage. My favorite part of it is honestly I like how Chapter 1 Yarra, doing it all for her own hedonism, is now the greatest team player in chapter 5. Qum-Little Death+ Nice I suppose, nothing game changing but a -5 point cost and ability to use it on Vhala is nice. Robin-Healing Lance. Same as above, nothing crazy. Though giving Robin a shiny new power of all people does feel like the rich getting richer. Aka-Ecstatic Lunge It's...pretty good. I'd say it is about 10-15% stronger then the standard forceful lunge. Though of course it can only be used about once every 3-5 turns. Honestly I hope it is just the stepping stone for more characters to earn some lust attacks. I always felt that Altina (especially cockslut version) should be able to learn lust magic. And a earth+sex AOE attack would be so delightfully destructive for late game combat carnage. Uyae- Explosive Palm I'll be honest, unless I am mistaken on it's use or tricks I think this is the only one that NEEDS some tweaking. As it stands it does about 1/3 the damage of Uyae takedown attack. It's description claims it bashes through defenses but it was as useful as a chocolate teakettle on those high defense tortoise creature in the tower. Again doing far less damage then takedown. Besides the obvious of just making it stronger here are two potential ideas I had for improvement, Have the blast cause a stun/confusion/silence effect. OR perhaps more creatively have it work based on MAG instead of ATK. That way if players are using Spirit Arua Uyae but want to skip a round of healing, they can use explosive palm as a backup attack. Hilstara- Aegis Bash DAMN! That strike is powerful. (When Hilstaria isn't to blind to hit her target. How she manages to MISS the giant chtulhu monsters we are fighting is beyond me. But honestly it might be too powerful. It's not Blade dance or Robin lance level, but it is kind of weird for Simon to spend a year harnessing the dark ancient power of an incubus shard to form an attack that is weaker then Hilstara just bashing someone with her shield. Perhaps have it cost a bit more Mana? 40-60, that way it is more of a boss fight move and less likely to just replace powerful blow. Simon-Incubus Strike YAY! New Power for Simon. And it's pretty darn good too! About the same as his precise strike, but as it uses mainly lust it allows Simon to last far longer in long stretches of fighting without needing a mana top up. Simon-Dominate+ I almost was going to write that there wasn't any suitable target to use it on, but to my surprise it worked on those dang tortoises. (I guess I shouldn't have assumed they were male.) But then it also worked well on the training orcs as well. It seems to work on anything as a lust attack, and function like a sex version of unified strike, (though it only does silence and blind not stun.) Which is cool! I like the idea. My only concern is that as it is still described on the box as "FOR FEMALE USE ONLY" players might not think to try it. So perhaps combine it with corrupt to make on new unisex lust bind attack for simon? (Also by the way that's 8 new skills not seven.)

DankPotatoes

Just noticed that Yarra uses the words "jump the gun" when the gang discovers the Divine Shard. In a world where muskets haven't even been invented yet, that seems like a a bit of a weird phrase, no?

Trevor

Update Specific: -Synergy Skills are nice. Hilstara is too slow/inaccurate for me to trust her as a damage dealer. Shes better off as a tank/support. -Divine shard is Tertia's I think. Shrine is a result of the dwarf practices of mourning reflected in the tower. -Ivala is a fake, I imagine most of the High Priestesses can tell the difference or don't rely on "feelings" to recognize Ivala so this "goddess" is for the masses. A ploy to gain power in the Tower. Scores from Gawnfall will likely be important. I hope that "shape the world" trigger wont be critical. -Hester is most likely culprit. Would explain why she was pissed about the Fucklord and the Antalia situation. He was stealing her thunder and future plan. Or the Uyae's address as Antalia forced Hester to do the same with Ivala, if one goddess can speak like that so too must Ivala. -I wonder how Carina, Sarai and the Nice Little girl will react to this. Seem's like we're hitting the ground running in regards to clearing up secrets. Looking forward to the upcoming updates! Q-Riff

I have my own thoughts. The first person I'd want to ask questions from is the Goddess of Magic, she's likely to have some knowledge. Since acting without knowing what to do could do more harm than good. I suspect the "little girl" is a mini-castoff of Ivala The mother is going to be Irate again...she could be a potential player here

Decanter

Random conspiracy theory: Ivastan was Estaven in disguise!! His pseudonym skills are on par with Nalili's though. Seriously though, we gonna resolve things with him and with the Magekillers this chapter?

Grey Wolf

Finally caught up, I went through the war blind and my outcomes were so mediocre I knew I needed to go back as I really do value both Esthera and Fheliel. I hope we don’t get them too late and Esthera’s death wish isn’t truly overriding because that would be damned depressing. I managed to get really lucky as I came back from Stenai with 5.6 million and was able to get the ruins and Ardford restaurant, which is ridiculously wholesome, ending up with just over the money I needed to get every Kyangan investment. Helping Feremina out was also really wholesome and funny with the “fight” against the thugs ending with Aka scolding them for even trying. The ancient ruins were fun but I just don’t find a great deal of satisfaction in the obfuscated teleporters so I appreciated Fulminato’s map. I had to restart the 5-pack and final boss more than a few times each but it was just a matter of finding out their counters. The Incubus Glove is awesome, really like how Simon’s playstyle has transitioned from boring fighter who can absorb and deal subpar damage or trade most of that damage for a little CC into absurdly resilient jack of all trades who lasts almost indefinitely and augments/heals allies extremely effectively. Afterwards having Nalili finally out of the naked apron/massive shield combo I used to make he a hard hitting tank and fighting in her new armor with the tormented shield is just crazy. She’s vulnerable only to sexbind/lustmad/luststun and even those aren’t necessarily a huge issue as she her ridiculous regular attacks are so strong on top of the absolutely massive phys/lust damage with oob and bol. And with the Charm of Great Lust (which only protects from lust dmg not status effects right?) she’s got huge MDF too. Her, Simon, Carina/Qum, and Robin/Altina seem like a REALLY solid combo that seems borderline unstoppable. Vhala in the sanctity plate is really badass too but more situational. I somehow managed to miss Mythin’s whole scene on my blind playthrough so that sent me for a loop. It was kind of sad how little she feels she can’t trust us after all we have done but assuming she was enslaved to the original Lustlord it makes sense. Hopefully we can win her over soon rather than later, she doesn’t seem to deserve that much isolation. I also am extremely curious as to why the Anak supposedly killed the Great Sage, the fact he didn’t destroy Tanurak immediately when he supposedly could have indicates to me that he is nearly as conservative in use of power as the Anak. With him gone and things heating up in Arclent I worry for Fheliel, and I honestly wanted to have him give some insight into the tower and help us with consolidating Thenours but I guess the Anak’s true motives may meaningfully justify his callous action. I actually remember believing in my blind playthrough that the Mother’s Guard would right then and there kill both Elven Queens and unite the whole eastern forests into a militant theocratic dictatorship, I guess it still might happen but that’s obviously massive spoiler territory. I was afraid that Nalili wouldn’t be able to fully protect Janine or Orilise unless you had the full airship upgrades and that I had got one of them injured or worse by neglecting that side of the investments. I fear for Tyna too, that crystal in I believe Ardford is pretty insane. The deep wilds were great, normally an area that bright would have become grating, as the divine tower did on after my second run, but the soundtrack was really affecting. It really made the map feel like somewhere mysterious and forgotten. The enemies were interesting looking too, and really emphasized how absurd Nalili has become with them all being vulnerable to either physical or lust damage. Hopefully this feedback isn’t too overwhelmingly long, I just got burned out after testing Gawnfall as that sort of balancing act isn’t my forte, so I had a long break but now I am back and as invested as ever. Thanks for crafting such a great game Sierra.
