UPDATE

Okay, 0.52.1 is out! Since the first version seemed mostly stable, I waited a bit longer to put out a cleaned up version in a relaxed manner. I want to say thank you to everyone who offered feedback and encouragement! I'm glad you enjoyed this one. ^-^

Though there are no major changes, a few things may be relevant to some of you. Ginasta's skills were mostly buffed, while the bosses were tweaked: mostly buffs, but they were also too resistant to stat debuffing before. You now also have complete freedom to choose your parties. Hopefully this can be final balance.

ORIGINAL POST

Well, coming out with a new update the day after the Steam summer sale starts is probably not the best of ideas, but whatever. The update is in the right shape to release now, so here we go!(See above.)TLS 0.52.0- New plot section.- Fixed Robin profile thanks to Lamsey.- New illustrated scenes: Lynine titfuck, Nalili 69, Orilise luxury, Fuckety Fuck.

I expect this update to be in pretty good shape overall, but I burned out on balance testing at the end. Yet again, I'd forgotten that my bad and low level games are behind the current content. However, there's one thing that didn't get limited testing:

There's a multi-boss this update that I hope people will find interesting. We haven't used this mechanic in a while, but I thought this was the time for it. This strikes me as on the edge of too many battles in a row, but hopefully people will find it a fun challenge. I worry it may be a bit too easy, since my weakest party managed without too much trouble, but resisted the urge to buff at the last second.

This has been a rough week. Nothing serious, or really personal at all, just lots of outside stuff slowing me down. Please feel free to report bugs or give any criticism, of course. But if you like any of the new stuff... well, this would be a nice time to tell me. ^-^

I'm not sure if I'll have anything to say in an update this Sunday. Maybe just something brief along with an updated version.

Not sure how long it'll take me to get to the new stuff, but I think most of us can say with decent level of certainty that it will be at the very least good and probably very good :) I am sure that at times someone will be unhappy about this or that, but I think that all of us here trust you to deliver high quality goods overall. You've taken us for one hell of a ride so far and I am sure it'll stay just as great all the way till we hit the finish mark for TLS and hopefully beyond. You just go on and keep doing your thing :)

Captain Hair

Ok, immediately went to check out Fuckety Fuck. It. Is. Adorable. Also way earlier than I expected it to drop.

Zaq Reman

Got to the end of the dungeon and discovered I need to redo it after stocking up on certain items. A good problem to have considering the event that caused it also caused my roommate to stare in confusion at me suddenly shouting "Oh shit!" :D

John Smith

Bug: After the coming back from the the Lustlord's realm, the formation is stuck with Simon in the 2nd slot

Captain Hair

So, fun update. Wasn't expecting really any of the plot points, but it's nice to see Ginasta and Esthera again. Esthera especially. I keep trying to call her every time you drop an update but she just lets it ring. Lustlord's realm wasn't the most interesting place ever, but he's a stick in the mud, so it's to be expected. At least the mechanisms aren't dolls to fuck like last time. I'm surprised he emerged from his own pity party to host Ginasta's. Combat wasn't bad. Funnily enough the during the chain of guardians my first battle was the only hard one. Silly me stuck Simon and Ginasta together only to realize she's a wet noodle. So Simon balanced healing and smacking, with her.... contributing. Not surprised Simon is still in Ginasta's top 3 baddies. The tantalizing clues about the others are fueling my speculation. And you overplayed your hand with Simon's description. Ginasta obviously has a pathological fear of cuddling and had to make it sound menacing. Regarding her and Sabitha joining the squad. Both state they're joining in a combat sense, yet neither are added to the party. Is that just something that's gonna be added when relevant or are they going to be tactical nukes that only fight in dire situations? Finally, the big detail. New Gathering. Sounds fun. Simon should troll the Incubus Kings by having his event be a debate on economics and political reform. Oh, and one last thing. A Lustlord focused update with no Balia ranting about orcs? How could you?

Zaq Reman

Bug I noticed: when I got back to the Tower Base after the conversation in the Doom King's Palace there wasn't the usual purple Tower overlay effect. Also "That's you" was such a wonderful validation and, like the game says, challenge.

DukeLeto7

This may be the acid kicking in, but I think the Tower HQ map loses a foreground tint after you warp back from the Doom King's palace...

Zaq Reman

As far as the fight, it was definitely an interesting puzzle. I would up with 4 roughly balanced parties that had a fairly easy time and 1 that was somewhat weaker and felt like they could've wiped in a single turn with bad RNG (and definitely would've lost if the boss had just 30% more hp). But I'm sure there's room for improvement in both my distribution and my play (I've always felt like I must not be using the succubi properly, which leads to a vicious cycle where I don't use them unless forced to and don't get any better *at* using them) so I would tentatively say that yeah you could probably get away with buffing those fights a little.

SerEaglenose

Really love how the story is culminating! How Simon has risen to the level of power that he's one of three beings capable of fundamentally changing the world has been really believable, and I can't wait to see the juxtaposition in the two gathering segments! Speaking of which I really hope we get a chance to rescue Hadi and her partner from under the Lustlord's tyranny during this next section. I feel like we could use a succubus maid for our base, to maintain the Yarra's succubus hospitality room. Plus you know, save all the people, etc. One piece of content that has probably already been suggested, but I was thinking would make sense, would be if you give all your Succubi shard pieces, that the one in your ExtraDimensional base can be collected and given to one of the other girls. It isn't really doing anything as an ornament in the base with all your main succubi being immortal and everything. Tho I suppose Riala and Robin may be using it for study and shard location.

Adison

I found the balance okay. Because it is a series if someone messes up it is too close to call it easy. It was a fight I had no problems with but a good portion of my fighters were either severely hurt or dead, mostly the former. Certain party combos don't do well, but others kill them laughably fast. With the choice of the extra one I think the balance is good.

Edward Culham

Ok, just finished the update and it was really good. Looked forward to the gathering that is going to happen. some thoughts on the 5 boss battles, actually felt like it was a challenge though not difficult. Something that the Lustlord who seems to work alone and thinks others do as well would be impossible to handle. Though with a party, there were 3-4 people that could nearly solo one on there own. I do have a question though about Mestan, when did he acquire a shard? It sounded like when he went up against Tanuruk he has had the shard for quite some time. It would also seem like he would be one that would have gone to Simon for help in understanding his power if he acquired it from Estavan's split shard.

Finch

Damn you weren't kidding about this being an intense chapter. That's a lot of ploottt.

Peter

So, first time commenting here, but wow, what an update to start with huh? Honestly, coming into this update, I had a list of likely suspects to show up to the plot, but I didn't expect almost all of them to show up. Definitely a great update, since the dungeon didn't take so long (except the boss rush), but I'll be theory crafting about upcoming events for a long time now. Anyhow, I'm on a mission! I have a question to ask to you! Um, feel free to say if you can't answer because of spoilers or anything! 1. Is Vhala going to be a full person that we can interact with later? It's understandable if there is no sexy times or anything, but I'm asking for a friend who is a big Vhala fan that would love it if we can romance/hang-out/just get more Vhala content. She is already part of the party/group and has relationship points, so honestly I'm a little curious where it could be heading. Anything you can spare would be appreciated!

Desuwa

I had a really easy time with the 5 battles, but I'm at least close to optimal in terms of combat levels (but no Wendis equipment). I feel like a few of my characters could have soloed battles if I wanted them to. From the UI I was expecting Mestan to help out for the 5th one; it makes sense why he doesn't but the UI could be a bit clearer. Found the shining sword by almost pure dumb luck, honestly. In the waiting room looking at the harem menu I see the "You're seeing this image to prevent a crash" image for Fheliel, Neranda, Wendis, and Tertia.

Handsome Stalin

A quick bug report: In the final battle I had Ginasta as the "party leader" in the Mestan group. When I got to the last part at the Tower HQ, she remained in the first party spot (and thus the player sprite) and Simon got locked in the second spot. It seems to me that you forgot to include her in the event where you "reset" the party (REMOVE/RESTORE).

Trevor

Interesting to see the multi-boss battle again. Don't remember seeing it since the 3rd war. Balance wise I didn't have too many issues with the fight. I didn't think too hard about my setup and won without any issues. I think Hilstara could solo one if needed tbh. I need to bring a weapon for Ginasta next time, only had a steel sword for her. I noticed that Tertia's RP isn't represented in the final scene. Oversight or intentional? Lots of fun lore bits. The dynamics between the Big 3 will be an interesting thing going forward, have guesses on who the other 2 are but gonna wait and see. The 'truth' behind Ginasta and Mestan is also neat. The contrast between them and their interactions with Simon is telling considering their nature. Gathering will be fun and is making me rethink the investments from the last round. Looking forward to see how it will be different from the Gathering in the past and the last political section (Gwanfall). Looking forward to it.

WaxerRed

Lustlord- "Who are the other two great powers?" That line mixed with the dozens of self portraits shot him up to one of my favorite villains. Great update!

Finch

I have to say I really like Ginasta and I am glad we are likely going to see her around more. She is such a great foil for Simon. Both characters are on their own personal crusades to shape the world into a better place (or at least were, poor Ginasta )- but their philosophies on how to change the world are so radically different. Simon is very utilitarian: he starts his rise to power by killing a bar owner to acquire start-up funds, and moves on to fake a coup in a bid to reform the country of Yhilin. He moves slowly but surely on his rise to power, making sure to secure economic, social, and political capital. He aims to build lasting regimes and isn’t afraid of employing both Machiavellian politics and sketchy magic like Trin’s copies to achieve his aims. He hopes to build a better world through unassailable political might, and is willing to make some really tough calls to do so. Ginasta, on the other hand, is much less of an “ends justify the means” person. She sees creating a better world as a natural outcome of removing bad leaders. Although she somewhat hypocritically limits this principle to Incubus Kings. When she leads people - as she did in Erosia - she creates temporary organisations rebelling against specific people without a long-term plan for what happens after the war. Simon seems to be more successful at his goals. He is the MC after all. Ginasta comes off as well meaning but ineffective, naive, and even a tad hypocritical at times. But despite her ineffectiveness Ginasta has one thing going for her: she is entirely right to be concerned about Simon. Simon has used his powers as an IK to build an international shadow government with unprecedented and unchecked authority. He has built a literal cabal of fanatically loyal lovers and friends that includes some of the world’s most important rulers, clergywomen, theoretical mages, and fighters. This informal organization consistently sways international relations in Simon’s favor while obscuring the organisation’s true power through the use of absurdly powerful illusion magic and an elaborate puppet government. Simon and friends basically created the Illuminati... but with lots of hot sex. We (the players) are OK with this because we are in Simon’s head all the time and know he is a pretty swell guy with damn admirable goals. But from an outsider’s perspective Simon’s world order looks a tad tyrannical. Individuals outside of Simon’s circle have very little say in how Yhilin is run, for instance, and nobles can find their property seized or their relatives turned into a podperson with no real recourse. I am not sure I would want to live under such a government, no matter how benevolent it was. And, frankly, that level of power poses a grave moral danger to even an extremely responsible person like Simon. What if Simon is wrong about something? What if he thinks killing 20 puppies will save the world and he's just, like, wrong? Well then he just killed 20 puppies for no reason. What if Simon is tempted by something he wants? What if he needs to kill 20 puppies every day or Wendis disappears in a puff of smoke? I mean I think it’s clear what his choice would be - he chose family over the health world once already during the Erosian War, when he let Tanurak go so that he could save his daughter. Why does Simon get to make that moral decision? Who elected him king? Anyway all this to say I am glad Ginasta is going to be around more and I look forward to her/Simon’s future interactions. Simon has always been good at compensating for his own weaknesses by recruiting talented people- it’s probably his greatest strength as a leader. And I am glad that he seems to realize that he needs someone with a distinctly different but still admirable moral outlook hanging around. This is especially vital now that Simon’s goals involve restructuring reality (!!!). Hopefully when Ginasta gets her mojo back she’ll be able to look over Simon’s shoulder when he does something morally sketchy, put on her best John Cena face, and ask “are you sure about that?” And then after that they can fuuuuuckkk. P.S. Boss is EZ. GG no RE. Plz buff.

AF up above just said everything that I could possibly say in regards to Ginasta, so just gonna chip in that a) I hope we get boatloads of chances to raise her and Tertia's affinity in the next few updates, and b) the day the artwork reaches Ginasta getting some sweet, sweet loving will be hopefully not land in November.

Really great update. Lustlord place was a bit confusing at times on where you can and can't jump. Hiding Shining Sword there was like: "Aha, bet you won't look there, even if it's the most logical place to hide a hidden chest". On plot. This is awesome in many many ways. Looking forward to the second Gathering. I liked Sabitha's conversation with Aka a lot. On Ginasta's paths, it feels like we're going full Shin Megami Tensei alignment wise and it's great. "Cold light" is like quintessential Law 100%, "Peaceful gray" is really like the Neutral when it's not portrayed in a positive way, i.e. complete stagnation. And looks like we're going full benevolent Chaos route and i love it. "That's you" is my favourite line in this update.

DankPotatoes

Great update. Ginasta is slowly becoming one of my favorite fictional characters, simply because there really is no one like her. While I love Simon&co.'s manipulations to death, having a foil to his methods is as important as it gets, when most of the other girls support him unconditionally. And Lillith, Mestan, Sabitha, Lustlord... all characters that I have been looking forward to seeing more of. This update was like a brownie. Small, but every bite melted on the tongue. And i gotta say, I'm looking more forward to the Second Gathering than any other update that's come out in a while. The first one is where i started to view TLS as more than "just" a game. Usually i would come up with a list of issues and bugs that I've encountered, but there were none in my game. If I had a minor criticism it would probably be the combat difficulty. Most of the enemies barely dented my team, despite them having relatively low defenses ( a very aggresively built team). And the final boss(es) might need a bit more HP. Varia actually OTK'd one of mine with a slightly lucky Blade Storm, and none of my other characters lost more than half their HP at any time during that fight. But that's nitpicking. Thanks for a great saturday morning

DukeLeto7

Here's an extremely nitpicky criticism of the update. When Simon suggests that he and Ginasta have a platonic relationship (in the sense of "non-sexual", not the original meaning of "taking it up the butt in exchange for 'wisdom'" (presumably the wisdom that some guys will tell you anything to get anal))... How do they know what a Plato is? https://xkcd.com/890/ I seem to recall asking a similar question about the use of the term "Realpolitik", but that word is no longer in the game text. I've decided to go full Pratchett and my Headcanon is that TLS Platon was a Philonese professional wrestler who was a closeted homosexual, but had rich and emotionally rewarding friendships with his various beards. I've also decided that in TLS the "Cylon Tyranny" refers to that time an Olympic champion tried to take over Athens.

Rachnera

Gathering, gathering, gathering!

WaxerRed

People might be upset with the lack of Ginasta sex, but WHAT ABOUT MESTAN!? I don't care what Simon, Sierra Lee, or basic biology says, he is having my yaoi babies!

Lamsey

Feels good to get back into a meaty plot segment. I'm very much looking forward to the second Gathering - it'll be fun to see all the contrasts from the previous one, not to mention the potential for disruptions from the Tower entities. I also like the contrast between the weightiness of the interactions with Ginasta compared with the lighter elements from Sabitha; I'm looking forward to seeing more of both, since Ginasta will be challenging in more ways than one, and Sabitha is perfectly placed to poke at the absurdities of mammalian societies. Mestan grabbing a shard is interesting, since it seems likely that Simon won't immediately crush him like he did the other incipient Kings. Could be fun if he shows up at the Gathering, since he'd be in a similar position to Simon at the first one power-wise. It'd be funny if the Doom King granted him protection, prompting the Lustlord to protest that vassals of vassals may not have vassals... On combat balance, everything seems OK apart from the multi-boss battle maybe being slightly on the easy side; I had more trouble with deciding how to split the teams five ways than the actual fights. They didn't feel ridiculously easy, so I'd say some minor tweaks would be enough. Adding some crit resistance would help to prevent the likes of Varia blasting their way through in one or two rounds. They feel on the squishy side compared to previous Tower Nodes, which seems wrong given that they're supposed to be magically reinforced. Since a few people have mentioned they found a hidden Shining Sword easily, I'll hold my hand up and say I missed it this time around. I must have gotten distracted by all those Lustlord portraits; I swear the eyes follow you around the dungeon... Typos / suggestions: Lilith's lips look jagged at large screen sizes due to the lack of antialiasing, especially the grin/grimace variants - I've tried to smooth them out a bit here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/iz1xf3tgwtak0dl/AABrkhFwmyr24Up87iStKk6ja?dl=0 Might it be worth pitch-shifting the Rodak music down slightly for the Lustlord's Tower HQ, maybe to 90%? That might make it feel a bit more tense and foreboding, as opposed to the brighter feel at its default pitch. Relatedly, it might be good to switch to some event music for the confrontation with Tanurak. Tiny nit: the tile above Simon is cut off on its west side here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tq2kg60hhfswyu4/Screenshot%202020-06-27%2014.44.41.png?dl=0 "a key point associated with Incubus Kings" sounded a little blunt/simplistic to me on first impression, but not sure what would sound better. Maybe "associated with the power of Incubus King shards" or similar? https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnxi1pmh7lfcd5f/Screenshot%202020-06-27%2015.02.41.png?dl=0 Insolant -> insolent: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wetlomnvmjqp2yb/Screenshot%202020-06-27%2015.10.50.png?dl=0 "recover to" -> "recover, to" (to make it clearer that she's compensating, not Simon): https://www.dropbox.com/s/39f8mt797ujcknq/Screenshot%202020-06-27%2015.51.33.png?dl=0 "feel simply" -> "simply feel" / "feel simple": https://www.dropbox.com/s/a5pgagsun0fl900/Screenshot%202020-06-27%2016.18.01.png?dl=0

Jeffrey Lebowski

Hi Sierra! Ooooooh this update has had so many things I have been waiting to start coming to fruition for a long time. Obviously I've been wanting to see how Ginasta would end up with the gang since we first saw her, and I've been intrigued about what direction she would take since her forcible enlightenment. I have always liked Ginasta and Simon's conversations because she is the only one who demands that he justify his actions on the broadest and most basic scale. Everyone else either doesn't care about his justifications or questions specific operations and are satisfied with his motives and results. However, I do really appreciate that Ginasta acknowledged that she is not offering any positive solution, she has always merely set herself in pure opposition to bad systems. I also understand why Simon is disappointed in her. Like Ginasta, Simon didn't choose to have his power. He has found himself manipulated constantly from all sides ever since this all began, including by the reality-bending nature of his own soul shard, and he is *still* being manipulated in ways he has not discovered if Ivala and Mythin's discussions are what they appear to be. Simon took those revelations in stride, finding ways to deny those manipulations, overcome them and move forward because he is truly dedicated to changing the system. He also has always known that he could not live in a system without being affected by it, so has incorporated overcoming the limitations of the system in which he lives into his plans to change it. Meanwhile, Ginasta, for all her shows of humility about how much change she could really bring to the world whenever she is on her soapbox, seemed to think that her power put her above the system instead of even more firmly inside it than nearly anyone. Simon has been accommodating Ginasta for *years* because he deeply respects her opinion even as she calls him a monster and vows to destroy him. Then she has ONE existential crisis and decides she doesn't care anymore. For all her bluster, her conviction was like diamond: hard but brittle. I do like that Simon could make a purely platonic bond identical to his normal ones, it really shows how far he has come in subverting the very nature forced upon him by his shard. I don't know if their relationship will ever grow beyond what it is now, but since the harem list is built on Yarra's perception (like when Robin stayed off of it for over a year), and she believes that they are sleeping together, will Ginasta appear on the list (finally completing the party member section)? I've also been waiting for Mestan to start getting involved in the deeper conflicts ever since I realized he had an RP score. Specifically, an RP score that, too my knowledge, has *never been checked* for anything. And boy, I am sure as hell not disappointed! He has a goddamn shard now, which is a bit wild. But most importantly, he is basically an unwilling warlock (even as a pure rogue without magic) and I am so so excited to see where that goes. I hope he is able to join the gang and finally have real friends. The multi-boss fight was fun! Not super difficult in the end but I nearly had a heart attack when I saw how spread thin I was (I opted to help out my boi), so at least the psychological intimidation is effective for that battle. I also gotta say I was thrown for a loop when Ginasta pointed out that Simon is one of the three main threats, though I should have expected it given their antagonistic history. Simon made a mistake in the opposite direction of the Lustlord, always assuming he isn't one of the biggest fish. I assumed the terrible warmth was Tanurak since he is objectively terrible and likes to burn shit down, but if Ginasta doesn't really see him as a serious threat, I don't really know what to make of him at this point. I also really enjoyed Sabitha returning. I kind of assumed that she would at some point, but I didn't know how or why. I really like her budding mammal-friendship with Aka, I think it is really cute. Wearing her like a scarf and talking is *almost* as good as chewing! Looking forward to seeing where she goes. I also find myself hoping that this Gathering will let us start seeing the direction of Esthera's arc, as she has been patiently waiting to die for like 5 years now. I also really like the direction you are taking with Megail, making her really motivated to grow in new directions as the gang's goals and scope change. Megail is such a good character. Anyway those are my thoughts on this update! Every time you release one it takes several days to stop constantly think about what will happen next XD I am sorry things are pretty rough right now, I think that everyone is just getting worn raw by everything happening, even if we are not acutely impacted by any specific thing. I hope you have good strategies for dealing with stress and burnout and anything else. As always, keep up the great work!

One of the few times i managed to play the update relatively early and i absolutely loved it. A short but very dense development of the plot. The adittion of Sabitha is something i did not expect but apreciatte a lot. Ever since her odd and slightly awkward goodbye i had been thinking about how more interesting her character could be with a few added interactions. I believe her personality is a good representation of a quote i love "What is most personal is most universal" While being a deeply alien creature, a slight humanization has transformed her and as Aka's observations are indeed deep. Despite how alien she may be, she is actually not that different from us when you look more deep into it. I look forward to seeing her develop and have people yelling "Sabitha best girl!" to the 4 winds. While i certainly expected Ginasta to eventually make an appearance as a playable character i did not expect it to be in this update or under these circumstances. Another pleasant surprise of this update. I personally don't think things will just continue to develop as they did with other party members so i look forward to these developments as well. It is unfortunate to have her suffer from the "Playable boss character syndrome" but at the very least her nerfing does make some sense, otherwise it wouldn't have made any sense gameplay-wise or story-wise to be able to add her to our party. I have to admit that i overestimated her a bit in the split party fight. i left her alone and figured it would be a good way to assess her abilities. I did equip her with the torment shield so i couldn't really try the fire skill. Despite my best attempts, i ended up spending a lot of huge potions and an ocacional super-tier potion to see the combat through so i decided to restart the fight and have carina join her as a healer. I wish to see more of her in combat and how she could interact with the rest of the party combat-wise. A small question. Is she supposed to appear at level 80? or does she mimic Simon's level? i happened to level up just a bit before having her join us so it left me a bit curious. I think the central boss fight was a good application of gameplay to further the story and interact with it as well. Being able to face one of these nodes at full power and getting teased to the possibility of facing them all at once was interesting. I expected having a literal fight against 5 or 6 of them at the same time but this one was a bit more interesting as it gives a chance to other characters to shine. If i had to contribute anything else to the final fight is that i would have liked them to be just a bit harder. I would complain about Varia's super power but i understand that it's difficult to balance such a thing in this particular rpg system. She did end up doing what i initially expected of Ginasta and solo one of the nodes. Ginasta has to bow to the superior power of Varia, breaker of games and destroyer of worlds. The ending comment on the waiting map is very accurate, as i believe most people apreciatte the feeling of agency this game grants them and seeing how far you have gone in the political system of gods will bring a lot of satisfaction to many. The bar to impress is pretty low considering that last time we were so insignificant that we literally couldn't be there since we had been kidnapped. Even then i expect some nice turns in this next update. Can't wait to play it. The broadening horizons of power are a welcome addittion to humble us just as we climb up towards more godly/ungodly power. The complexities of existance make at least a bit of sense based on everything we have been taught about the tower as well as all the things we know we are unaware of. Also, it's nice to see Mestan being a lot quieter now, at least towards the party. I was sure he would make some quips directed at us but he barely acknowledged our presence. I hope i can at least see some recognizement from him after the help he sorely needed. Without anything else to add I wish you the best and hope you can enjoy life in these turbulent times. As always, keep up the good work.

Mycroft

This update was a great one. Maybe it's me, but I kind of see the begining of the end of the storie. More and more answer are given.

werewindle

Loved the update, getting a teaser of the final layer of reality that already has protags talk derisively about the IKs/goddesses highschool drama is so good. The final fight is a nice change of pace, more party splits please! However I am perturbed by the fact that apparently two fighters joined the harem which has just one last fighter slot (tho it's obvious Sabitha was talking about less concrete fighting), but neither of them shows up in Yarra's tally.

Adison

Sierra answered that on a different comment. Ginasta is a combat member and Sabitha is a Leader. They are added just not in the wait room Yarra.

Tanner

I don't understand how to play the game. I downloaded this version but it's not letting me play it. It says I need "RPGVAce RTP to play this game." Please help

This update dropped a whole load of bombshells on us, like, goddamn. And it seems like the true final antagonists haven't even shown their faces, save of course for the last one: the implications of what we're doing. Goddamnit, now I can't wait for the next updates...

Zaq Reman

Talk about the Anak's disappearing act at Gatherings led me to wonder if it'll be used as precedent for the Doom King to likewise go "I'm delegating all that annoying decision-making to my seneschal here while I stay in my quarters and fuck my harem all day", but that then led me to another question: what's the public justification for Simon's power? I could've sworn there was a conversation in Chapter 4 or 5 that implied it's 'common knowledge' among Arclent's movers and shakers that Simon was gifted some sort of power by the Doom King (to explain the fact that Dargai's been seen using magic that Simon never had) but it wasn't stated what form of power. Is the official story that he gave Simon a tiny shard, or empowered him like some sort of Dark Chosen, or something else, or just "that's a state secret, we're not telling"?

snusnumrik

Nice. I love this section when you divide the party for multiple fights. This way I use all harem member and decision to collect more members (Altina + not losing Hilstara) are appreciated much more. I bet the bosses easily on my over optimized play. On my week party I was unable to win against 5 nodes, only against 4 (I was missing Hilstara but even with her it would have been hard). At the end in the green waiting field several character portraits were not loading: Fheliel and both entries in the Other field.

Barissia

You might view it as bad timing but it's perfect timing to save my wallet from the steam summer sale ;)

Lamsey

@Sierra - FYI, just noticed that the version number in 0.52.1's titlebar still says 0.52.0. Might be an idea to fix that for the public downloads if you don't do a .2 release.

So, late to get on board with this one, since I had to redo a bunch of content to get the Demonic Seed. The whole issue of deciding which harem members get divine shards has me thinking, especially while there are new incubus kings running around with fragments of the Fucklord's shard, whether it might be possible to give one to Orcent. After all, he's been with the party through thick and thin, nearly as long as any of the harem members, seems to be not just one of Simon's most important delegates, but a close friend, and has discussed possible interest in immortality as well. Given that Simon ostensibly has his own lust magic due to being delegated it by the Doom King, it implies that even other incubus kings regard it as plausible that an incubus king might grant such power to an important officer. And it definitely doesn't appear that each additional minor shard offers much cumulative benefit to Simon at this point. Although, after the defeat of the Fucklord, I share Vhala's sentiment of feeling distinctly expansionist. Rather than granting him a tiny fragment from a minor upstart, maybe we could pin down the owner of what's probably the largest currently remaining minor shard, the Lord of Blood.

Handsome Stalin

I let it stew for a few days, but I really don't understand what's up with Ginasta and keeping it a secret that she and Simon didn't have sex. I don't understand who they're keeping it a secret from. Who in the harem would have such a fundamental problem with them not having sex? It seems to be an uncharacteristic breach of trust between Simon and the rest of the harem, with no good reason. It's strange to me, but I'm not discounting the possibility that I missed something.

Hello. I checked the update a bit, particularly the boss fight. I don't know if this time i was just unlucky or if the measures to avoid crit damage were effectively put in place. If the latter is true then i have to say you've done a great thing for particular enemies and boss fights at least as far as I'm concerned. While a clutch crit is always a pleasant rush when in a dire need these critical chances, particularly with Varia had become way too reliable as a means to achieve victory. This change alone would have made things feel a lot better for me. I tried some other compositions and found the boss fight was certainly more pleasantly challenging. Ginasta did feel a bit stronger which was pleasant. She feels a bit more like what i had expected of her. Something i did not mention in my last post was a ponderation I had regarding the end game. Seeing as this game has made it a point to show the agency of the player and their relevance in the world I hope that the ending is able to represent that Agency at least a bit as well. I'm aware the finale won't probably happen that soon but it is certainly aproaching and as such I'll be looking forward to what you have planned. I will be careful not to create any particular expectation or "headcanon" that could damage my apreciattion of the end piece. On a smaller note, i liked the addition of the new members to the Yarra Harem menu. I did run into a glitch when trying to see Sabitha's image and title. Something about not being able to find the picture for it and then it just crashed. That's the only odd thing i noticed in the update. Without anything else to add i hope you can find your pace to work on the challanges brought by this new month. Let's hope things don't continue to escalate into the crazy side of things. P.D. Happy 4th of July if you happen to celebrate it.

I just noticed i posted this on the previous post while I meant to write on your newest one. I was about to delete it and post it there just to find you had already answered. Now i just feel a tad silly. I'm glad to hear those news regarding the crit resistance. Let's keep that going, while glass cannons can be fun it fundamentally aims to keep out the depth of many combats, mostly reducing them to repetition until enough luck is had instead of observation and critical thought. I look forward to playing that ending myself when the time eventually comes. Cheers!
