Allright... What is Sally going to do? Break Rachel out? Talk to the centinels herself? Contact Salvos? Interpret for Oriur? I have my doubts about all of those options, but at the same time each of them could be fitting...

I am so happy to read more about Rachels side of the story. I firmly believe that her words will reach the matriarch and that she will manage to befriend her. My reasoning is that Salvos dad himself one mentioned how ridiculously adaptive the matriarch had to be to survive the end of the world and reach this continent. Centinels are survivalists at all costs. It is not beyond the Matriarchs capabilities to realise her species future lies not in war with all other living things, but in coexistence. I also want Claytons jaw to hit the floor in disbelief when it happens.
