““I don’t care enough about this guy -> "I don't

Sondrex76

The literal insult to injury.

Khanalas

This characted is absolute shit storytelling, but the joke was nice.

Lon

Damn that was nice. I love that Marwin is a such a self-centered jerk that deny pretty much everything just because he wasn't the one that did it. He would probably have been a Demon of Pride since his ego is so big. Too bad he won't get his arm back so soon eheheheh.

Viedu

I maybe would have agreed (About Marwin's extreme character), if I didn't know a person with a similar personality IRL. People like Marwin exist (unfortunately).

Khanalas

"People like this exist" is not "people like this can reach the higher levels of power on their own competence", if Marwin was so stupid and self-inportant he would've died long ago. Even if he could be haughty, he should've at least still been extremely competent.

Viedu

In real life some people in the upper management are morons, or asholes, not all of them are talentless, but objectively not a Leadership material. As for it being impossible for him reaching his level with his character and intellect, I disagre. He was in Mori Gladiusses guild, and there are bound to be other powerful people, simply put, Marwin must be talented (but as already prooven rash and self important), and it would not be suprising if Mori and other high ranking members literally draged him to the top, by constantly saving his ass. Now he is left in charge and his faults show in full (with no one to clean up his messes).

Eternal Dreamer

Aside from dumb luck he probably also used a ton of people to get where he is. Bossed them around into dangerous tasks and took the low risk levels for himself. Also like Viedu said above, he probably had superiors protecting him when he really needed it and giving him strict instructions that he would've begrudgingly listened to in situations that could've been dangerous.

Alexey Gladkich

As an addition to @LightAblaze and @Viedu comments. He might've have been a better person or simply behaved better back then, when he was of lower level. Sometimes power simply ruins people or just brings the worst out from them.

At the end of the day, all you need to level up is to kill things and not die. Becoming a high level adventurer and becoming one that's fit to be a leader are two very different skill sets. Heck sometimes all it takes is being lucky, like how Marwin happened to have Salvos nearby to save him from becoming demon chow. Probably not the first time someone saved his ass and probably not the first time he failed to thank them properly for it. But who knows.
