Great chapter. I think Daniel hid his advancement from everyone? It's quite exciting. I am looking forward to the next chapter. Daniel is one of my favorite characters, wonder what he plans on doing.

Daniel's come a long way from being the 'butt of jokes' Hero that he was. I'm really glad that's he's getting quite a lot of recognition now (even from Kacey!), well that and being very powerful. Keep fighting Daniel!

I didn't love the last line "he glanced back at her dismissively..." It feels out of character for him to do to someone he was fighting beside for a year. I assume we will get more context on why he's leaving, but hoping it's got a Daniel feel to it instead of a Salvos feel.
