2 possibilities I see here. 1, the nobles genuinely like her cooking because they are so used to high end cuisine, that junk food ends up being delicious. Or 2, their smart enough to realize that something is going on and decided to play along. Why else would the king and the nobles be sitting with commoners being served by some stranger. Maybe the king want something from her and playing along is their best option?

Don't forget the pickiest eater in the nobles at the palace, and the biggest complimenter of this dish, is a baron. Not a duke or something, but a baron, which is usually among the lowest of noble ranks. The Kings praise sounded much more moderate. That is probably significant here.
