I’ve had stress dreams that felt just like this. I kept going back and forth on whether I thought it was a dream or reality, much like one does in the throes of an actual recurring nightmare. At first it makes total sense, he’s moving around too much and opening the wounds on his back—but wait, now his head is bleeding too?
