ahahaa no like… around people ahaha i have a really hard time recognizing faces but im pretty good at breaking faces down to individual features, which i think helps w drawing portraits, if that makes sense

An artist I commissioned to do portraits of a couple of my characters for a book cover has face blindness. It's wild how their art was fucking amazing and yet, if they saw the people in the ref photos I sent IRL, they wouldn't have recognised them. The human brain is a thing of constant wonder.

i think its prob bc they existed as written characters before i ever drew them :D it is a little frustrating when i cant draw them the way ive written them sometimes but 🤷‍♂️

i trained someone at work and all winter he wore his hair down with a beanie and once it hit 70 F he started wearing a bun with a baseball hat and it took me 3 days to realize who he was 🙃 the fact that you struggle with recognizing people but are so incredibly talented with faces is amazing
