Content

The Security Spoon - DTNS 3730  starts at 14:52

Tom talks about the music at the top of GDI and responds to some viewer feedback.  We discuss the various musical styles and audio treatments we could use in place of the current GDI music.  We wonder if the 2020 Summer Olympics will take place in the Winter and  discuss living in Japan.  We talk toasters vs toaster oven. Plus washing your hands and not touching your face.

If you think that everyone already washed their hands (before the CDC warnings about spreading Covid 19), then I think it's been too long since you've worked in an office. I've been appalled at every job how many people walk out of the public restroom without doing so, regardless of which function they just finished doing in there.

I think the countless memes are similar to what happened when Homeland Security issued advice to use duct tape and plastic sheeting to prevent terrorist attacks - it feels like it's too simple, too understated of an action to fight something that big and scary. Washing hands doesn't SEEM like an appropriately extreme step to prevent a pandemic. In both cases they may be perfectly reasonable advice, but they sound like understated responses.
