Emily’s mom always said they came from a long line of witches. Emily never believed her, thinking her mom was crazy.

This Halloween, to poke fun at her mother, Emily dressed up as a witch. Her mom didn’t find it funny and told her to change her costume, saying, “It’s disrespectful!”

“Geez, mom, don’t have a cow,” Emily said, rolling her eyes.

"Don't have a cow?! How about you don't BE a cow!" Emily's mom raged. Before Emily could say, "Good one, mom," a bolt erupted from her mother's finger tips and enveloped her.

"Mom? What the fuck? What did you do? What's happening to mEOOOOOOOOO?!?" Emily bellowed, her voice shifting down several octaves as she spoke.

Emily's body ached. She held her arms out in front of her and watched as they flexed and bulged. She looked like she had the manly arms of an extreme body builder. She glanced downwards and saw her legs were bulking up as well. The ground was slowly drifting further away as she grew taller.

Another involuntary moo left her mouth. Her hand shot up to cover her mouth, and she immediately recoiled. Her face felt wrong. And her hand was wet. Then she realized she could see something on her face out of her peripheral vision. It was her own nose! But it was black and wide and wet... It wasn't her nose, it was her fucking snout.

"Mom! What the fuck did you to me?" Emily sobbed, her black bovine nostrils flaring wide.

"I'm so sorry, Emily! I lost my temper. I fucked up!" It broke her mother's heart to see her daughter this way. A hulking beast of a cow monster. Snorting and mooing and crying.

"Can you undo it?" Emily asked desperately.

"No. The spell will fade when the sun rises. I'm so sorry I ruined your Halloween." Now her mom was crying too.

Emily looked down at her mother who she now towered over. "It's... it's okay, mom." Emily patted her mom on the back with her massive palm. It was always awkward to watch your parent cry.

Then a group of trick 'r treaters came down their street. Emily expected shrieks and running away but she heard someone shout, "Hey! Nice costume!"

That's when Emily decided she would just own it. Pretend it was an expensive costume. And everyone believed it. Why wouldn't they? It's not like witches and werecows were real things.

She ended up having a great Halloween, all things considered. She handily won the party's costume contest. Everybody wanted to feel her snout and they all remarked on how "real it felt." She even made out with a cute boy. She keeps thinking about how horrified he would be if he ever found out what he was kissing. And for some reason that kind of turned her on. The more she thought about that night the more she realized she enjoyed her cow form. How powerful she felt. How much attention she got. She might have to get that spell from her mom next Halloween.
