Oh my God, what’s happening to me?!

A sharp, unbearable pain tears through my hips as they explode outward, stretching far beyond their limits. It feels like my very bones are being ripped apart. My clothes split at the seams, scraps of fabric sliding from my body as I tremble, helpless against the changes overtaking me. But it doesn’t stop there—the pressure builds lower, spreading through my thighs, making them swell thick and heavy. My skin roughens, turning a dull, grayish color—unnatural. Then—oh God. A deep, pulling sensation grips my lower back before my rear surges outward. Flesh balloons behind me, my tailbone pushing out into a short, twitching stump. My widening hips force my legs apart but my swelling thighs close the gap, pressing together with every movement. My ass feels obscene, heavy, weighing me down, making every movement harder. I try to steady myself, but I stagger under the sheer bulk of my body. I feel huge.

But my face—something’s wrong with my face. A deep, grinding pressure builds in my skull, and then—crack. My nose crunches outward, flattening, my whole face pushing out. Bone grinds against bone as my jaw stretches forward, the skin pulling tight and hot over my growing snout. My nostrils flare wide, burning as they balloon outward, sucking in air in ragged, desperate gulps. The scent of my own sweat floods my senses, overwhelming, too strong.

I snort, a harsh, wet sound I don’t recognize. My nose twitches, the thick, rubbery flesh moving in ways it shouldn’t. My upper lip droops, heavy and unfamiliar, curling as I exhale. My mouth—it’s huge. My teeth ache, shifting, dulling, becoming broad and blocky. Drool pools at the edges of my lips, dribbling down my chin.

I stumble to the mirror, my heart pounding, my breath coming in loud, animalistic snorts.

And then I see it. Thick, stubby legs. A barrel-shaped body. A massive backside. A wide, slack mouth.

No. No, this isn’t real. But it is. I’m turning into a hippo.

Panic grips me, crushing, suffocating. My stomach twists, my chest heaves. I don’t want this—I don’t want to be ugly. I try to scream, to cry out, but all that escapes is a guttural, beastly grunt.

What did I do to deserve this?!
