Although I wanted to queen and king to be together from the beginning, I can't lie that I sided with the cousin for most of this episode. Because if you are seeing it from his eyes, the king not only caused the queen to feel lonely enough to commit suicide, not only did he find her crying because she felt lonely and scared and comforted her the whole night, but he also witnessed the king carrying his mistress in front of everyone rather than his wife who also " passed out". As a viewer, I know why I want the king and queen to be together, but the king literally just started to treat her as a regular person without an agenda, and I do understand why her cousin did not trust him or felt like the king does not care about her. Although he reacts too quickly the cousin does have more valid points than the king so far.

I never thought of that way to be honest- I focused so much on how much more I love the king now that I forgot that the cousin had so many valid points to why he would be over-protective and angry at the king. The king really only started treating her better now that she proved she wouldn't be an enemy- and although I also think the cousin is too rash and obviously I really want the king and queen together, I understand the cousin's intentions now after your comment and thinking about it again <3 thank you so much for taking the time to write that you really opened my eyes!!

Of course 💜 as someone who felt the same way as you when I first watched, when I was rewatching it I realized just how much the Kong has done wrong and although he is trying to change and be more attentive, the cousin doesn’t know this fact plus the last thing he knows is that he has kissed her and she was with him and he told her he would not let her go, so to him he has already confessed to her so I think he takes everything personally ( which I don’t agree with since at the end of the day she is married ) but seeing how the king is with his other woman I can see why he wouldn’t care showing his emotions💜

"See, he is already losing interest!" I'm rewatching along with you and what amuses me is that he basically forgets Eu Bin exists from this point on because Cheoljong is now in a total "head empty, queen queen queen I love my wife, please love me too" mode going forward xD Tbf, he had always liked So Yong upon their first meeting, but did not allow himself to "indulge" in these feelings since he (mis)took her as being one of his enemies instead of being as much as a puppet of her family without having a choice/options as he is. Now that he is aware of that well there is no stopping those feels anymore heh. It is great to see this gradual development of that with the knowledge of the whole events to come tho. I notice all the little things now KHJ has put in his acting to showcase Cheoljong's shift... like how his gaze is growing soft upon her and lingers, the soft voice, his relief when she is briefly waking up, that little grab at her collar, tucking her blanket in as she is escorted away (with his personal royal guards no less), and him standing up for her, despite it exposing his true self. The "she is my woman, if you touch her etc and I'm the king" scene is one of my faves of the drama. So badass <3

It's weird how "Oraboni" sounds a lot like "2raybi" and "byi2rabni" ("my relative" and "related to me" in arabic)
