The masked guy with the scar on his face, he’s not actually sick. His “medicine” is actually opium; he’s an addict. Very fitting for the times as this was in the early 1800’s when tons of opium was being smuggled into China from Britain. I have a feeling Kim Jwageun got him addicted just so he can easily control him, because an addict will do anything for their drug.

ohhhhhhhhhh I didn't know that omg!!! that's soooo evil if he really did make him addicted just so he could use him- I wonder if the villain himself knows if he it is opium or if he thinks he's just sick, we'll find out in later episodes but omg that's such a plot twist

Even after approx watching the kiss scene for the 143th time like a teenage boy p0rn, i am still amazed by it. Like clearly Cheoljong uses her as a distraction tactic to not be caught redhanded, but he/they could have stopped the second they left again after So Yong slanted his head to let her father see it was really the king. But nope they kept going and going and going as the feelings got the better of them both haha. It is one of the scenes where So Yong clearly takes over the body because the second, or rather minutes later, ahem, the chef became aware again he stopped it only to slap themselves. If he hadn't, it would have certainly not ended there, as they had already moved on to the bedding, hehe. But yeah, i love it, It is such a good kiss and a very atypical kdrama kiss at that, so passionate and going on forever xD I remember Junghyon said in the commentary special that the script direction was "kiss like you are starving" and daaaamn did they deliver on that indeed :O

The way I thought she was about to slap him after they kissed but she ended up slapping herself LMFAOOOOOOO i'm so done with the chef atp!!!! Also, hwa jin can kick rocks with her lying ass lol that hoe!
